I've got a gut feeling about the Slaanesh cards in this pack being a prep for an upcomming Chaos Slaanesh Warlord who will revolve more around card recursion (as mentioned on the forums it also would be very fitting for Lucious the Eternal) with Throne being a part of that possible engine.
Currently however this card is not viable enough for Chaos. Cost 7 is a small step away from cost 8, Heldrake out preforms it in all ways and while eating Cultists to ready is a nice option, it's cost prevents it from actually having more cultists around (untill we can requr this from a discard pile for example...)
Currently 2/5
I'm going for 2/5 here. 3 Hammers and 5/5 might generate some serious threat, but with Cultists already bein one of the least swarmy of the bunch, I don't see the Action being used all that often. Add to that the cost of 7 and you have a unit that will most likely not find its way into too many decks. Upside: It's not loyal.
Chances are you likely are going to sacrifice your cultists on the table just to put this elite unit into play. 2/5, and must be supported by the existing cultist producing cards and units.
Agree with that, though I'd note there are three army units which are cultists too, two of which see regular play, and the third might be usable in a Throne of Vainglory deck (yeah, yeah, I know, thats utterly ridiculous).
I think this daemon doesn't have a place in chaos decks as we know them at present, but I'm ever aware that wholly different deckshapes can sometimes need and want unexpected cards.
I honestly think that this card - along with Throne of Vainglory, 3 Umbral Preachers and 3 Xavaes - are part of a fairly efficient deck to come, which we are just misisng a couple of pieces from.
This card sucks and it's insanely unfluffy.
1/5
I know that I like sucky cards,,, but I like this card. lol
This Demon is beast in a deck that can consistently generate Cultists, will be probably be core in a future Slanesh Warlord/Theme Deck
lol? This card is amazing!
Xavaes + Keeper of Secrets is brutal.
Also has semi-immunity vs Eldorath, Supressive fire... few of the powers that can control big threats.
And there will be more Slaanesh cards with synergy to come for sure.
In the current card pool, I would rate this a 2/5. However, there is definitely some potential here. I think eventually we will see a Slaanesh Warlord who specializes in elite daemons and spawning cultists. This could be a real threat to deal with when that happens.
The question for me is whether (assuming we do get a cultist spawning warlord) it would be more valuable to use them to buy more cheap demons instead of fueling the keeper. I suppose it depends on how they spawn.
Rather than more cultist tokens we might just see more 1-2 cost Army Units with the cutlist trait.
A cultist traited Halfblood Kabalite, for example, would work quite well with this guy.
The only time I have fun with chaos is with the throne of vainglory
this card speaks to me
Where is a Cultist warlord? They keep releasing things like vainglory, rift, and now this. I WANT MY CULTISTS! Cultist tokens, that is.
