Eldar Dark Eldar
Aggro Control
Hunt the enemy warlord quickly.
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
The idea here is to force your opponent to misplay for fear exposing a weakness. Lots of 2 command mobile units. Hard to snipe, either via command or warlord. whenever the opportunity presents itself, swarm the enemy warlord for the kill. Shuriken catapults can turn Baharaa's Hawks into killers. WraithGuard Revnants and Gut and Pillage are both very solid here, since its easier to move to the color restrictions. Revnants have really shined. While most of the units (and its a relatively small unit count.) tend to be able to be bullied away through a constrained effort, Revannts are disposable speed bumps to your opponent, and again here, potentially forcing a misplay that could allowing mobile units to take advantage of. Seers Exodus is a great panic button to bleed out any tricks your opponent may have. (using it to escape a "Preemptive Barrage".) It would be nice to find space for either power swords or chain swords. Shrouded Harlequin would be nice too, since it can force a warlord to be exposed to blooding tricks. May switch her strait for Empower.
update 1== switched empower for shrouded Harly. Didn't like to see a 2 slot go, but the card itself didn't see much play. Revnants where good, but it just seemed I'd rather take the command bonus most times instead of playing one, even as a sneak from the discard. Incubus are in there place. Eldritch storm replaced bonesingers. targeted damage across multiple planets before helps soften up planetes if I decide to mobile there. update 2 no eldritch storm. added reavers to make star cannon more available. took out incubus and shrouded harliquin. added subdual to deal with stuff i cannot mobile away from. really likeing where this is right now.

Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0

Average Command Per Unit: 0
So what do Dark Eldar bring to this deck? I'm genuinely interested because I run Baharroth with Tau: good command and Mobile alongside killers like Drone Defense System and Tense Negotiations. How often do you find Gut and Pillage necessary, considering you should have locked up command anyway?
So, since this is assassination style, during games lost of units tend to flood twards a vulnerable planet, and even though there is a god amount of command here, it will not always be spread evenly across the whole. Lots of mobility leads to misplays form your opponent, and its those that you wish to capitalize on. The Tau mobile units are trash/not needed here. Piranha and trail blazer. I have plenty of command, so the trailblazer is unnecessary. The piranha would force me to add promotions, while I like him just zooming around on the last planets getting cards, he would tip the scale, i believe into tau allies if it had any command. DDS is great on wild riders squad, star cannon is able to go on Bloody Reavers and Vile Raider, making them more dangerous to a warlord. Gut an Pillage is a great card, Baha can almost always get to a red planet to win, and since his command can suddenly disappear when everyone moves for an assassination run, having good money cards to keep pressure the next round is always good.
this deck, i have IRL, next week it will probably have -1 reaver, -1 shurikin and +2 incubus, just cause i get the cards back. (friend is borrowing them.)
Interesting. I actually regret taking the Piranhas out of mine, as even without the Promotion I found cards often to be more badly needed than resources. I like the assassination style though, might try playing more aggressively in my next match (I've really not had a great record recently vs elites so perhaps trying to get quick bloodied/kills is the way to go).
*UPDATE* Got completely ploughed by our favourite Epistolry, though I think it had something to do with him immediately Exterminatus-ing my Starcannoned Vyper so that I won no resources and never really got to attack (the three Deathstorm Drop Pods didn't help either)!
Got to use seers exodus in response to a Corrupt teleportarium this passed weekend, following the next round subduel the teleportarium to prevent the elite from chasing me down later. Didn't get the win though, because I was worried about trying to assassinate Kugoth. (he is tough to kill.) So i got the bloody, but didn't get the kill and got smashed by heldrakes.
Agreed with the Starcannon comment above. Only five targets, with only two of them being worth it.
Is there a better replacement? Something more universal? Armorbane is great for guaranteeing hunting down big units, especially warlords, and 5 points of Armorbane that can react-move from one end of the galaxy to the other with enough strategically placed Mobile/moving units can just win the game straight out.
I agree with shrouded harequin, but then you would have to kill it with your own jetbike to get the exhaust on the warlord. Then that is assuming it's your initiative.
Leave it at P1 to die. If his warlord snipes to another planet, he'll be hunted down. If he goes to P1, that's two exhausted units for him, bare your teeth then with squadrons and vipers

Starcannon is Eldar Vehicles only I'm afraid.

If you really want to bloody opponents warlord quickly, Shrouded harlequin is the way to go.
