Chaos Orks
Experimental
Trying to start figuring out big unit chaos, I chose Ba'ar Zul purely since I dislike the other warlords 'fluff wise'.
The other Chaos Warlords will probably prove better for this, but Ba'ar Zul does have some unique benefits of his own, with a mini board clear (its other ability in boosting brutal units is unfortunately underutilised in this deck), and with one of the strongest supports in the game in Kaerux Eramus
Currently a mono deck though will ally once I have playtested a bit.
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
Big cost brutes making use of the warlords support if it comes up, while being a threat everywhere with the Corrupted Teleportanium.
Tries to use cultists to both provide the reducers for elites, but to also balance out the economy drain.
Potential changes: Units: Lots of good chaos elites, the 3 I have chosen: Soul Grinder, Vicious Bloodletter and Prodigal Sons Disciple may prove the 'wrong' ones, With Gleeful Plague Beasts and Ravenous Flesh Hounds being strong contenders (Plus Big Shoota Wagon is not terrible if I went orks, a bit weedy but effectively has snotling attack built in)
Supports: Turbulent Rift while cool, may prove to weak considering the slot contention.
Events: Sowing Chaos may be need to help out vs swarms, I did not pick initially as I am fearful of the weakness of my economy and the damage it could cause to me. I lack Shield cards so Tzeentch's Firestorm may be neccessary.
Ally options: Orks: Lots of very efficient low cost units, some very tempting events (only one I would not consider is Snotling Attack). Plus Ork Kannon is so nice to help out against enemy cappers.
Dark Eldar: some good low cost units. Archon's Terror and Gut and Pillage
Sample Hand:
Total Shields: 0
Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0
Total Command: 0
Average Command Per Unit: 0
With Blood for the Blood God, Warpstorm, Bloodletters, and Rift you probably have over killed the area effect.
Once Backlash drops, I'm probably run 2x Bloodletters and 2x Warpstorm. I'd drop the 2 Turbulent rift for Ammo Depot. That would help quite a bit on the command game.
Also, shameless self plug, check out my thread on cost curves. It has some examples of how to build around 5+ cost units while still having enough cards to deploy and doing okay on command.
