This is final form of a deck I used mostly in Blackcrusade league.
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
It is a very fast version of Worr in which you mainly focus on some card draws. I tried to make this deck very flexible so that your win condition can be winning by planets but when sth goes wrong you can easily switch to warlord hunting. I did not include psykers/recruits/promos cause i think worr is himself very good command sniper so 1 cappers are enough and also imo heavy command slows Worr a lot. I wont write about strategy because there are too many things to say, there can be seperated long article written about it. Deck does ok in every matchup i think and important thing is that it is favoured against more standard version of Worr.
Sample Hand:
Total Shields: 0
Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0
Total Command: 0
Average Command Per Unit: 0
Congrats on the win! It's fascinating to see the differences between our decks especially since your deck is very command light, but there's no denying its effectiveness. Good job
Thanks! Yeah, i am not a fan of command units in Worr. They can be sniped easily and i think in a very big amount of situations you just dont want to draw them. In mirror matchup IMO you dont want to draw them entire game cause this matchup is all about combat tricks. Video from siege of terra finals can be a good proof of it
No mercy is fantastic trick in the deck. I don't remember if I ever used it as a shield. Especially when you know you are far behind your opponent and you just want to hunt him. It is also good way of killing problematic unit which has some aoe effect or high atk value. But mainly it's used for killing warlord. Note that after bloodying wl you can follow it with Emperor's Warrant which is huge. So it's very reasonable to run 2nd no mercy instead of for example squig bomin. But I still prefer to have a card for destroying problematic support.

Heh, well my opponent and I had a similar number of command units in our decks, the difference being that mine all had damage stats and my total number of hammers was higher. Hell, you could also argue that my Staging Ground'd Sanctioned Psyker won me that game . My approach is to only take command units that can fight, and I've generally found that putting Psykers on green planets pretty much guarantees that an enemy warlord won't go there, especially if there's a Forward Barracks or Troop Transport out. Even if I don't have my tricks ready I'll still guarantee damage on their warlord which either gets them closer to being bloodied or exhausts their shield supply.
Regardless, I appreciate your approach and understand your reasoning. No Mercy makes perfect sense given Worr likes to command snipe anyway, and it's boosted further by your Catachan's.
Yeah, I understand your reasoning, Kaloo. Your approach is some kind of a hybrid between mine and heavy command approach. Personally, I prefer fast playstyle in Worr but sure sometimes I wish I had 2 command sanctioned psyker in hand.
No Mercy is just my favorite card in this game. Glad to see it being run in decks WITHOUT promotion. That's exactly how I run Ragnar. Props to you for winning without falling back on Promotion.
Yes, I also run similar ragnar with great results. Problem with him is that he has not got any significant change for quite a long time. But he is still great, more consistent than Worr for sure. Promo is another card which slows you down so you dont want to play it in such version of Worr.
I've played Worr a lot recently and I tried your list yesterday. I had to say, I was very impressed by the results! I'm sold on that version of Worr. Congratz for your win!
It means it decreases chances of topdecking something which will be useful in combat. Especially in mirror it is good to bully your opponent very early by having more combat tricks. Promo is also inconsistent here because in a lot of situations it would only be used as shield.
Would you like to change anything in the deck after the end of the Planetfall cycle? Do you find anything worth adding?
Yes, but I haven't tested it yet. In general, we got some interesting resource saving cards(except rally point which does not fit here) but including them requires slight increase of cost curve cause we would have more money to spend. This should change a bit archetype of deck but still deck will be faster than most other decks.

Solid. How did 1x No Mercy fare for you? Did you ever find you wanted more, or did it not / would it not have played much of a role?
