Dark Eldar Chaos
Experimental
Non-standard Kith that uses alternate means to choke
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
This deck goes against the norm for Kith by choking through Despise (given the absence of Ally units) and sheer command, and as such does not require Traders, Pirates or Promotions. 46 command puts it well above top-tier Kith (or ~equal if their promotions are included).
Sub tactics:
-Soul Grinder + Syren is amazing. SPA helps bring them into play and acts as a command capper otherwise. Soul Grinder is also a great Y'varn spawn, which is very unexpected from a Kith deck
-AoE: Warpstorm is great and Sowing Chaos is amazing. The lower 2- costed unit count in this deck makes it more playable, but deploys need to be careful to maximise it. Aim to delay with double hammer deployments to non-blue planets to encourage the opponent to play on blue planets, then wipe at the last second. The deck is still prone to AoE, as Kith normally is
Possible switches, although I think Despise is worth a shot: - 2 Despise
+ 1 Warpstorm + 1 Sowing Chaos
OR
+2 Shadow Field (shields)
OR
+2 Promise of Glory (but this feels like overkill. Would require switching helion gang/bloodied reavers with Plaugebearers) --------------------------------
Tested against Cato, Shadowsun and Straken. Beat all 3 Straken: Kith + Khymera + Warpstorm to HQ = turn 1 bloodied Straken. Bloodied Reavers = turn 2 dead Straken
Shadowsun: Started with 4 blue planets with initiative. Played Chaos Fanatic (to non-blue) + Khymera Den, Shadowsun played Bork'an + Trailblazer to different blue planets. Sowing chaos. Followed by warlock destructor to 1 by shadowsun, and Khymeramasters + Slyth for me. Turn 3 bloodied Shadowsun
Cato: Out commanded + 2 warpstorms wiping 2 planets (across different rounds). GG round 5
Sample Hand:
Total Shields: 0
Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0
Total Command: 0
Average Command Per Unit: 0
I had a deck like this awhile back that I had success with. The combo of heavy hitters and constant Khymera is strong. Despise is just unplayable though. The fact its a combat action neuters the card completely, and unless the meta shifts to only having combat ready ally units.. I don't see it ever being useful. Swap the Despise out for a couple more two shields would be my recommendation.

Yeah it did, but I also had it in my hand more than Sowing Chaos. Just luck and timing I suppose

I like the rest of the deck though!
