how does it do aginst a Kith deck? I kind of feel she would out resource you.
While you are using Crucible. Do you usually discard cards that have shileds? Or Units?
I have a similar build, and try to choke them on Units. Does not seems like working ...
I would love to see a tournament report for this.
For anyone interested, here's an interview I did with the creator of this deck in which he discusses not only it, specifically, but further, all things relevant to Urien Rakarth. If you take a look, enjoy!
I've tried furiously to make Urien work, played differently, taking new approaches but I just can't make this warlord work, at all.
Every event is more of a nuisance than actually impactful, I don't want to pinprick my opponent to death (over the course of 100.000.000 years) I want to smack them in the head with a sledgehammer.
Played differently, taking new approaches. Like I said.
To that I agree, he doesn't work for me at all. Same as Aun'Shi, for some reason I can't make him work. And I'm sure the issue here is deffo with me, and I've tried so many variations of Urien decks, but to no avail.
How do you fee about the Visions of Agony > Rakarth's Experimentation's > Collesium Fighters > Rakarth's Experimentation's combo synergy? I know Fighter's lack of command icons is disconcerting, but do you feel that the event synergy is worth it?
It depends on which opponent you're facing - I've played a version of this deck on OCTGN with some success, and it basically depends on who you play. Against DE you want to target events/units that help them choke you. Against Tau, you want to target attachments/supports that boost their units. Against Chaos, you want to target events and certain powerful units, etc.
It also helps because Crucible isn't unique or limited - meaning you can have 3 of them on the field, and tap all 3 after playing just a single torture card...so you're looking at 3, discarding 1. Looking at an additional 1, discarding 1...looking at a final additional 1, discarding 1. You see a total of 5 of your opponent's cards, discarding 3, and placing the other 2 on top in any order. Then next turn, repeat. It completely shuts down your opponent.
