This is a Dark Eldar Choke deck. It has most of the standard kit for card denial, but adds a bit more firepower with some of the cards from the latest pack (Gift of Ethereals).
Notable inclusions:
Despise, This card is currently experimental in this deck. The idea is that I have Razorwings to sacrifice to the effect while my opponent only has command units to sacrifice. It keeps me from having to deploy Kith to snipe warlords. This is the card that I am the most unsure about.
Visions of Agony, I have found that the ability to look at your opponents hand is extremely powerful. Getting to choose the card that is discarded even more so. I will know if I need to worry about any big shields in an upcoming battle and I can get rid of some big hitter before it's deployed.
Warlock Destructor, Cheap combat unit, my current plan is that he will rarely stay for more than one turn. I'll deploy him to important battles to help turn them towards my favor. This is some of the added firepower I mentioned above.
Notable Exclusions:
Twisted Laboratory, I like this card a lot and it was the final card cut from the deck. As I play with the deck and change things I expect 1-2 of these to reappear in the deck. I just felt there were better options for my card slots at the moment.
Wildrider Squadron, I had to cut one of my combat units to make room for Warlock Destructor. It was between this and Altansar Rangers for me. I decided to cut this card to help bring down my resource curve and to keep the command presence of the Rangers.
Eldritch Corsair, I keep going back and forth on whether to include this unit or the Rangers. In the end I decided to stick with the Rangers for the Ranged attack and extra command icon.
Foretell, I like the looks of this card, but I just didn't have the room for it. If Despise turns out to be a dud card, I will probably replace it with Foretell.
Suffering, I've never liked this card much and really only keep it around for the 2 shields. Removing this from the deck is my way of testing the waters with only Raid for my 2 shields. This card might come back, but for now I can't think of anything I want to cut to add it back in.
Version 2:
-3 Despise
-3 Superiority
-3 Altansar Rangers
+3 Soaring Falcon
+2 Twisted Laboratory
+3 Suffering
+1 Syren Zythlex
I had some good plays with Despise, but I had too many games where my opponent had no allies. The card is good, but there are just too many better options for my precious deck slots. Superiority is another good card that I have chosen to remove due to there being better options. I removed Altansar Rangers for Soaring falcon. Thanks to the vehicle decks I've built, I've grown quite fond of Soaring Falcon. The cards I have added are Twisted Laboratory, SM AOE decks are beginning to become popular in my meta, so I needed to bring twisted lab back. Suffering comes back basically as a blank 2 shield card for me. I've been missing my third Syren, so I brought her back as well.
Version 3:
-2 Visions of Agony
-1 Suffering
New pack with new cards. Searing Brand looks like it's going to be awesome. It's a bit of a win-win since they either discard cards, helping my choke or they take 2 unpreventable damage. The key is going to be finding the right units to hit with it. If nothing else, it has two shields. I was a bit torn on what I would remove for the card and finally settled on taking out Visions of Agony. I like the card, but I couldn't find anything better to remove to try this new card. I didn't add Crucible to the deck, because I don't have enough torture cards to make use of it, so it would require too big of a change. Bloodied reavers looks good, but I am really happy with my current units. I don't forsee it outperforming Warlock Destructor or Incubus Warrior.

Sexy, I like it. As you mentioned Despise is the real experiment here and to be honest I doubt the deck really needs it or can abuse it.
The way Dark Eldar are played now allready boosts the opponent to drop heavy Costs first (due to Raid) so unless Power from Pain will gain more populairity way the games are played now allready lets your opponent dodge Despise more effectively.
I personally think you'll end up cutting it as this deck contains much more Ally cards as your standard non-DE deck.
Nontheless good deck! I can only suggest putting the 3rd Syren there for optimal consistancy and a better overall Command presence.
This is actually a deck I've been working on for quite awhile since it is my main deck/faction. I don't know why I waited so long to actually submit the deck. I normally run a 3rd Syren and I will probably add one back in when/if I drop despise from the deck. I'm actually considering trying to add Power from Pain in with Despise. I'm wondering if these two card will give me enough army killing power to really hurt.
I find it interesting that you state having a lot of allies as a disadvantage for DE using despise. To me, this is an advantage, it means that I have more choices on what to remove and I even have some allies who do almost nothing after entering play(Razorwings). So, short of my opponent having no allies at all, I would think that DE would come out ahead for having more allies. Well, I'll get to play the deck tonight, so we'll see how it does.
Good to see your reflection on Despise. Nice to see you still running a build which is a bit alternative aswell.
Cheers,
