Don't like or could fit other important supports like Catachan Outpost, Tellyporta Pad, Kustom Field Generator?

My build is similar, with less 2-shielders in favor of more utility supports and -1 Crushface/Warbiker for +2 Weirdboy Maniaks to help against swarm decks.

Looks pretty damn good.

I like it. No real combat shennanigans, just natural Ork durability, a mountain of shields and suppressive fire. Just challenge your opponent to dig theough that many bodies.

The lack of KFG is surprising, other than that I like it.

Even if you don't like his version, he still did something right to make Top 8 at GenCon...

The reason I don't run more supports is that they are useless for command early (and you have to have strong command or you lose) and clog up your ammo depots later on.
It would be great if you could get out some of the good 2 cost supports and still have an army but I've found that to be impossible against decks with a stronger command game. Orks don't get cool command tricks so you just have to play units instead of supports and brute force it.

I like it!  Elegant in it's simplicity.  Well done by the way!

How often did you actually play the events vs using them as shields? I'm guessing shields about 90% of the time.

Man, I was expecting a surprise tech that I never though of but the simplicity of this deck is astounding. Basically a "ram down their throats" build. Alot of Ork players get hung up on supports, myself included. I am definitely going to build this and try it out. Great job on top 8 and thank you for pulling the Orks into the spotlight of a big event.

Do you have a tournament report available? I would love to read it.

How often were you playing Dakka Dakka Dakka? What were the typical circumstances?

Fantastic deck which defies all the standard Orc stereotypes. Orcs with plenty of commands and shields? Almost no support cards? I really like it a lot!

The 2 shield event cards are there primarily for the shields. I probably only play 1 or 2 of those most games for their effects. They are just too expensive. I basically never play Dakka Dakka Dakka as it hurts the deck more than it helps in most situations since I'm swarming cheap units. Also, committing an exhausted warlord is just asking to be bloodied against a lot of decks.

I probably won't write a tournament report because I didn't take notes on my matches and don't have many specific details that I can provide. I'm happy to answer strategy questions though if people have any.

I'm a newbie who liked the Orks in the miniatures game, so am interested in them for Conquest. I've heard a lot about the faction being weak or not competitive. What do you see as the things an Ork player needs to do to have a good chance to perform well?

I'm struck by the differences between this deck and Elliot Dawson's Top 4 deck from Worlds. The biggest thing I notice is that Elliot runs a bunch of supports.

Nice, have played a deck like this myself online, but -3 Dakka, +2 Goff Boyz, +1 Caius Wroth, -3 Rogue Traders, +3 Void Pirate. My finding was that you need to get Ammo Depot turn 1 to get the momentum going, or it can rapidly stall, and that the Zarathur match up is an especially tough one.

Did you find any hard match-ups yourself?

I like treating Wroth and Goff Boyz as event slot cards. Looks like Ashra is not around since August.
