Orks Astra Militarum
Tournament Quality
Deck I took to Italian nationals last September. Does Exactly what the title says.
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
Went 2-0 in the first two games (Kith, Eldorath) then lost two games in a row against Kiths running Power from Pain and Soul Grinders (one of them eventually came in 2nd). The name of the deck is self explanatory. Its core is formed by the "readying units", Bearers and Sneakaz. Despite abysmal economy, a single hard-hitting unit in your HQ and three resources are enough of a threat for most opponents. It's a mixed midrange-elite deck because 1) three resources in combat is a lot for this deck early on, so playing a 2-3 coster easily allows you to have enough, whereas an Elite would leave you dry, 2) early on a single Flash Gitz swinging twice with the help of a 2/2 is enough to win most battles against anything but the staunchest elites and 3) mitigates somewhat the risk coming from an early Power from Pain. The deck tries to seize momentum sicne the first round: if you can accomplish, Skrap Nabba and Tellyportas are usually enough to let you grab a win. Suffers against choke and point removal, even if Backlash and Tellyporta mitigate the latter issue in the lategame. Good matchups: Eldorath, Ku'gath (swingy matchup, but this deck holds the advantage), Marines. Bad matchups: Kith, Worr (not enough AoE).
