Space Marines Tau

The Imperium's Enemies are as numerous as the stars. Long has this particular foe harassed us, but the fight ends here in the Traxis sector. The Tau may be Xenos, but they have made common cause with us, so as to save themselves from the tides of the foe. Command falls to you. HOLD THE LINE!

This is deck is meant to be effective against aggro-weenie decks.

The brunt of the command burden is borne by the Iron hands Techmarines and the Vior'la Marksmen. Once the struggle is won, the marksmen can make up for the Space Marines' lack of ranged units.

In combat, there are a few special tactics. Drop Pod Assault, Eager Recruit, and Veteran Brother Maxos are meant to provide a surprise or reinforcements. Maxos is meant to work with the Daring Assault Squad in particular, who provide the deck with area damage for eliminating tokens and weaker cards like Biel Tan Guardians en masse. The Honored Librarian is never supposed to be alone, but his ability along with that of the Fire Warrior Elite allows one to control where damage is sent. Aditionallly, the Honored Librarian should end up with an Ion Rifle or Godwyn Pattern Bolter attachment, becoming either a 6/2 or a 5/3, able to take on Warlords or deal with any heavy hitters that decide to show up.

Fortress Monastery should make sure that you always have a goodly amount of resources, and Holy Sepulchre lets you reuse weaker cards in particular that get taken out.
