Looks solid, a nice low-high build. Great though the idea of Land Raiders is, are you sure a Vior'la Warrior Cadre wouldn't be more effective? They're cheaper, and pack a heft hit with ranged armourbane.

I see that the Land Raiders give nice protection against effects, however, so get where you're coming from.

Right. The Land Raider is a lot heftier in terms of hit points, bringing staying power with some icing of event protection which is nice in just about every match-up. A more aggressive build could run Cadre in their place rather easily, but I definitely feel that putting in some more high end units is what Aun'shi needs to have an out in games where assassinating the enemy warlord just isn't possible.

I can't really think of anything better than Deception right now that is 2-shields. Heavy Marker Drone could make the cut because it is tutorable with ECT, but hardly anyone runs good targets for it anymore (except my Land Raiders, lol). A similar argument can be made for RIF but without Fire Warrior Elite I feel it is very lackluster. I'm a big fan of Even the Odds and Tense Negotiations but I feel the sacrifice of a shield icon is probably too much for it to be worth it since you are already shield-light and run low hp units, generally.

I use 2x Crisis Battle Guards in my Aun'Shi build. I like the mobile and picking my battles (plus they get armorbane too). Have you tried them before and what are your thoughts?

Looks very strong, thanks for sharing.

As awritt pointed out try out 2x Cirsis Battle Guards it might work out better.

I think it depends on what you're seeing in your meta. If you see a lot of Kith/Ku'Gath/Eldorath, the Land Raiders can be crucial in preventing a big unit from being routed. For this reason, if you only put your Gun Drones on Ethereals you'll be in good shape as if you have your Orbital City out, you can bring them right back (or any unit you use Ethereal Wisdom on).

That said, the Land Raider is probably better for Shadowsun (who I was running the Crisis Battle Guard in) due to her investing so much into making big units and doesn't have as easy a time getting them back into the fight.

Crisis Battleguard are indeed a very stellar unit and a viable alternative to the land raider. The Land Raider's main purpose in the deck it to help with the Space Marine and Chaos match-ups a little more in his favor. It protects your low hp Tau units from Crushing Blows, Fury of Sicarius, Tzeentch's Firestorm, Plaguebearers,  Eldorath's Reaction (if I am not mistaken) and Supressive Fire. The protection from Archon's Terror is just icing since you already have pseudo protection in the form of Orbital City as Sizer mentioned. I find that Aun'shi's toughest games are those when your opponent can answer your aggression in the actions phase and/or exhaust down your squishy units. Because of this I feel that he has the hardest time in the Chaos and Eldar match-ups, and Land Raider helps tremendously in the chaos match-up. Not only does it protect your heavy hitters from burn, it also is a horribly difficult unit for most chaos decks to deal with due to its high hit points. My local meta is very anti-Aun'shi at the moment and this is what I have found to be a suitable answer when playing against those who know your tricks and what to do about them. Battleguard are superb, but I prefer the extra hoop to jump through that Land Raider provides at the cost of that sweet mobile+armorbane.
