This is the deck with which I took the 4th place in the Regional in Saint Petersburg. The main idea is to use synergy among Nahumekh, his sig support, Shroud Cruiser and Venomous Fiend.

This is the deck with which I took the 4th place in the Regional in Saint Petersburg. The main idea is to use synergy among Nahumekh, his sig support, Shroud Cruiser and Venomous Fiend.
You can use Fiends to destroy enemy command cappers or to weaken enemy forces before the battle.
With Nahumekh I use 3 factions: chaos for Fiends and discount cultists, eldar for Wildrider Vypers and SM for Land Raiders - the other best non-loyal elite for 5 cost with a great ability and parameters.
Main battle forces are Fiends and Vypers. You can use their mobile to move them directly into the battle or save them if this battle isn’t important for you. Use Promotion on enemy units to be sure it will be destroyed by the Fiend.
Also you have plenty of 1-cost command units. Use them for command or to improve your Nahumekh’ ability.
Please don’t worry about the high cost curve. With STC and Splintered Path Acolyte you have enough discounts to deploy one elite unit and 1-2 cappers per turn.
Elites have a higher survivability (due to high HP, Backlash, Fall Back) to keep Nahumekh powerful. Just play the long game. Don’t try to rush your opponent. With 3 or 4 mobile elites you have the best board control. Gather your forces and win only important battles.
Obedience is the best moving support in the game!
A good starting hand: at least one mobile elite unit with or without discount and 2 command 1-cost units.
Main weaknesses: - Lack of shields. I used Phylactery because sometime I attached them to Destroyers. Destroyers are good in the end game but a very bad unit in the beginning. - Low-high cost curve. I tried to balance the deck, and it played well. But sometimes you can draw an unplayable starting hand - Rush…You need at least 3 turns to build your army and empower Nahumekh. - Swarm… I put in Nightshade Interceptor for its AE and Extermination.
Results: I tested this deck vs Worr, Eldorath, Kith and the marines, and it worked well. But during the Regional I faced many tyranids and made mistakes. Consumption was a disaster. Omega’ sig army unit destroys your command cappers and Splintered Path Acolytes before they can use their interrupt.
Sample Hand:
Total Shields: 0
Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0
Total Command: 0
Average Command Per Unit: 0
That is one costly curve. What do you do if you don't draw STC?
I have 6 cost reducers in the deck: STC and acolytes. For most games it was enough. Tarrus and Yvarn also help.
I know you mention this in the comments, but it doesn't seem like you'll get our more than one unit per turn?
I try to win command or destroy enemy command cappers with fiend or Nahumekh. In most cases each turn I deployed elite with discount and 1-2 cost or no elite and 3-4 1 cost.
The deck isn't easy one in piloting, but can be devastating for your opponent.
I was skeptical about this list when i first saw it but after playing with it, I am impressed. I would recommend changing the land raiders for either fire drake terminator or maybe big shoota bandwagon
Thx for your reply! Land Raider was chosen for its cost and stats. I don't include elites with cost higher than 5 except Nightshade.
Also Land Raider has one more command and one more HP. Its ability prevents your fiends from being routed while LR is on the planet.
I saw this list and thought it was way too expensive. I've played it in 4 games now and absolutely love it. This is the best deck I've played using Nahumekh so far. I might swap the Land Raiders out for some other elite, but I like that with 3x Backlash and Land Raiders, your Elites are safe and sound. Thanks for sharing!
It's pleasant to see this deck performing so well. I recently built a very similar one, following the same idea of non-necron unit survivavility. Since it's only possible to deploy a single faction per turn, why not make it elite and mobile? I'll give it a try as soon as possible.
Tried it and it works amazingly. 😀 Was unlucky one game where I only drew 1 costs and to free elites, but otherwise it had been surprisingly effective. Going to change 4 cards to see if it improves the deck.
-1 void

-1 promotion
-1 fall back
+2 Gauss flayer
+2 possessed
I think it requires something to combat Kith and swarm generally, since only one Phoenix might not cut it. Maybe cardinis? I'm going to try the necron guard unit to keep my units safe and smack him with a phylactery ðŸ˜
Interceptor IMO should be 3x in every deck - you're paying a lot for the effect, but it wins games and with Backlash, 4 HP Flying (and now the Loyalist, if you play it) it's so difficult to prevent it from swinging in that key battle - Khymeras are toast unless they've got the Den.
Fall back! is good card but not the easy one to use because you have to adjust you enslavement dial to use it.
Gauss flayer is good with warriors of gidrim. Cheap combo (2 res) and it have a synergy with Nahumekh ability. Use it as shiled or attach on warriors in the late game.
I'll definitely give this deck a try. I like Anraykr but I've been aching to play Nahumekh since I usually play with the less popular WLs like Zogwort, Baharroth, and Swarmlord.

I'm still altering the deck a bit, but it really is a beast.
Thx for your kind words!
I think to bring it to the Worlds 2016
How it will play there?

Can you attach Promotion to an enemy unit?
yes, you can) It is nice trick
Latest suggestions for testing:
+2 gauss flayer
- 1 fall back!
- 1 Pirate/trader
