No Flips, Just Fists - Worr T16 GenCon 2016

This seems really light on command - you have 11 efficient command units, 20 units with icons, and no Promotions. More traditional Worr builds often have 15+ efficient command units, 25+ units with icons, and 2-3 Promotions. How have you found that to work?

It is the best Worr that currently exists in the meta, but doesn't work against two of the most played Warlords in the meta....could be me, but that's kind of an odd statement then, isn't it? (well, unless you're saying Worr is rubbish in current meta)

Kingsley: command was never an issue. I can often outcommand my opponents because the 11 units (although I count my Infantry, so 15) can easily win command. It was easy for me to snipe command away from most opponents playing midrange style decks as I could outdeploy them fairly easily.I would also always try to keep a hand with ammo depot as it was key to continue to apply deploy pressure.

palpster: I am indeed saying that, I would not play this deck in the current meta. Just that this build is the best beats a meta that no longer exists (Worr, Mavros and Eldorath from regional season).

Saying a deck is "the best build" for an old meta is like saying a car is the fastest given it was the fastest 10 years ago. It's a statement that simply doesn't hold. Regardless, congrats on your ranking

Besides, I'd argue that my Worr deck that I took to Milan is the best for the old meta ;)

I guess I'm not sure how this actually beats Eldorath, or for that matter a standard Worr deck? They can snipe command too. I do think this would likely beat a lot of Bonesinger decks, but I think the more robust midrange Eldorath builds don't need to worry too much.

Kaloo: No, I'm saying that this deck is the best phone using a Snapdragon 810, and could beat anyone with a 808/810 chipset. The problem is that they are now producing phones with an 820 chipset and the 823s are coming, so I'm just a generation behind and lagging further.

Kingsley: it's more aggressive then a standard worr list (i.e. it gets under it), and had no issues with either traditional or vehicle heavy list of Eldorath. Vehicles can get far behind once I hit their Choir. And it's my experience that Worr can simply throw out more units a turn then Eldorath can in the midrange matchup.

Nevertheless, I still WOULDN'T recommend this deck if your meta is all Kith and Chaos.

I think we can all agree that this deck is low on hammer by looking at the stats. We need to put this into perspective. Your units are all cheap and usually more effective than your opponent. Also, Worr doesn't need to participate a battle to provide his effects. That means you command snipe the opponent more often than them. Also, ammo depot greatly helps. If you draw 3 cards each turn, it's easy to swarm the board with cheap units compared to the opponent, meaning you'll most probably beat them at command at some planets.

As for the mirror, they beat you in command with 2 for 2s but you're more aggressive so you put better pressure (sniping a Psyker is easier than sniping a thug for example).

Anyway, this is what we came to with testing. Of course this deck fall appart against Kugath elites, and need some major tweaks for the current meta.
