Grats on taking the Nationals palpster! I'm not a Worr player myself, but to me one thing stands out about your deck; I'm impressed you won the tournament with a Elite-less deck, so to speak! That's interesting :)

How is the Dutch meta regarding the use of Elites?

How do you feel about the newly released Grifon Escort?

How do you feel about the newly released Grifon Escort?

If the pack would have been legal, I'd have definitely included 2, possibly 3 copies. At the expense of the Valkyries probably.

About half the field was heavy on elites. I faced Kugath 4 times during the tournament and won three of those. AM more than any other faction has ways to counter elites. I was thinking for a while to go SM ally and add three Exterminatus, but decided giving up Ammo Depot and Squig Bombin was too heavy a price to pay.

As for an elite-less deck. I don't think there is any elite I would want to include in this deck. Lemann Russ Conqueror is probably the best AM elite nowadays, but I don't really see a place for it in this particular deck and adding Ork elites just gives the opponent ways to finally use their Archon's Terrors.

Interesting. Did any of your Ku'gath opponents pull a Prince's Might Deep Strike on you at anytime? My first thought upon seeing your deck list was that it might seem slightly vulnerable to low-cost/non-elite hate, which is abundant these days.

Just out of curiosity, did you face any Space Marine warlord during the tournament?

There was 1 Cato, but I didn't get to play him. As for Prince's Might, I think I had it played against me three times, but apart from the last round in swiss which I had basically lost even if he hadn't played it, the other two times it wasn't really a problem. There's just enough 3 or 4 cost units in here and also remember that Guardsman tokens are not affected. Just remember to exhaust/sacrifice your low cost units for Sup Fire/Markis instead of any Guardsman tokens.

I see. And I take it you didn't get Deceptioned much either, so to speak, by any Tau opponent. Well you certainly had the element of surprise with a elite-less deck from my point of view. An impressive feat. Thanks for sharing and congratulations indeed again :)

No one brought Tau on the day (no Tyranids or Necrons either), but I feel pretty confident about this deck's ability to defeat Tau, mainly because most Tau decks rely on heavily buffed units, which I have a fair few ways to deal with. Control is the name of the game and Tau are pretty vulnerable to it.

I played a couple of games with your deck on OCTGN, done pretty well so far.

When I first saw the inclusion of Valkyries I was very excited because it's a card that I have been looking at but since I only play ones a week (with physical cards) I don't feel like experimenting too much.

I got the 3/4th pack today and the Grifon Escort seems great. Very good synergy and even though the Valkiry has flying it's more suspectible to removal while the Escort is worse against AoE.

Overall I think the Griffon Escort is overall better, even at non-green planets.

EDIT: What card to cut if you wanna go do to 50 cards?

For what it's worth, 51 cards never affects play for me.  My one rule about 51 card decks is:  no one-ofs.  If I have a 1-of in a 51 card deck, that's the thing that either needs another copy or cut entirely.

there's only two one-ofs in the deck (not counting signature cards), of the two I guess you could cut the Sacaeullum's Finest if you really must. Definitely not the Markis though, I'd consider upping him to two before dropping him.

If you really want to go down to 50 I would either an Iron Guard Recruit or the Sacaellum's Finest
