Space Marines Tau
Aggro Tournament Quality
A deck that I have used quite often with a solid win ratio. Looking for discussion. Strategy section included.
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
A solid deck that plays on SM's ability to win key battles through combat tricks. Most units are combat oriented, besides the obvious command units. Of course, I use combat units for command as well. I kept the curve low (two four-cost units, the rest of the cards cost three or less) and tried to build the deck to maximize success with Drop Pod Assault. White Scars = Librarians in most battles when you are looking with Drop Pod.
A few notes...
* 3 Void Pirates - I'm considering trading one in for a Rogue Trader. Space Marines have a glut of good units at three cost, this might help a bit.
* 2 Iron Halos - My preferred attachment for Ragnar, especially with all this Armorbane running around! His sword is iffy, I usually use it as a shield or I will equip it when going in for the kill on that exact turn. I am unsure if I would like three Iron Halos instead, I'll have to test some more.
* Blackmane Sentinels - I usually post them way down the board for command and then move them when they are about to lose a command struggle.
* 32 units - A bit higher than most decks, but this deck just keeps on pumping out units and checks for answers from your opponent.
* Winning - Despite being quite an aggressive deck, I usually win by planets and not assassinations. Assassinate only when the opportunity presents itself, don't go 'hunting' for the assassination. Use the combat tricks to win the planets you need to win and ignore the assassination unless the opponent literally hands it to you.
Mostly just looking for discussion, and figuring out what I take out to make room for the next pack's 'draw 3' card. It may or may not go in. If I was going to put the new unit in, I think this would look like a completely different deck and I would have to change a lot.
