The nonsense I took to Worlds.
I think this is what I ran. Tbh I'm not sure. It was vaguely built and played all of twice before Worlds, and then rebuilt whilst people were handing in their Deck Lists during registration. My only written copy is the one I handed in, and the cards have been muddled up since then.
Firstly, it's not a serious deck. If the game hadn't been cancelled, or 2016 hadn't trolled planet Earth so much, or someone had told me all you scrubs were going to crash out and let Kith win (as much as I like and respect Warfather), I'd have run Ku'gath.
Secondly, it actually works quite well when you aren't up against nasty opening hands on nasty opening flops.
I did also beat Warfather in 3 turns in our friendly match after Worlds was over, between this and Kith. He was pretty shattered though, and sadly only our Ku'gath match that preceded it is on video. Space Wolves Predator won the game. It's OP ;)
The other really good match I had was against one of the Worr decks that also made cut. The final turn involved 3 Troop Transports, a Forward Barracks, a Staging Grounds, and a Catachan Outpost on a Green Planet. I was able to blow up one TT with a Missile Pod and despite the Griffon deployed to the planet and large HQ train, my Broadsides outlived the Preemptive Barrage (thanks in part to a Mont'Ka strike felling the Catachan-pumped Griffon) and were able to deal with the masses, with some Aspirant stand.
Hunter's Ploy was actually pretty useful. Even when I was forced to use it when my opponent had bigger Elites than me, it kept me in the game. And against command decks it was great. I reluctantly used it after a couple of turns against Nicolas despite him having a Heldrake out, as his start was proving too powerful, and I immediately wished I'd just used it on turn 1 so I could atleast have produced my own combos to help deal with his brute force start. It certainly ended up delaying his victory and giving me a sniff.
Exterminatus could be in there, but folk generally play around it. Though it has a nice combo with Predator or other ways of forcing an opponent to risk it.
Predator is great. Against Pehj in knockout I could really have done with one. Or a Missile Pod. Or a Mont'ka. Or him to not have all 3 Sneakaz with his Battlewagon/Squiggoth/Clearcut. Or something. But mostly the Predator. Should have run three. Caius Wroth could be a three too, really.
Only 1 Backlash, because again people play around it, and you have 3 Land Raider and the Sig Support. I wasn't even going to put one in, but ought to keep people honest. Not running 3 was good fun, Worlds seemed like a good time to mess around with it ;)
Basically you could make a few tweaks to the numbers of some of the 1x and 2x and make it better in all likelihood. And possibly chuck in an Exterminatus.
Aspirant is ridonkulous. And Mont'ka, despite being printed cost, is pretty handy for taking out Heldrakes off initiative or as a finisher after a strike (especially when combined with HMD). Aspirant gives you decent control over the timing of Mont'kas, potentially readying something afterwards, so you don't overkill/waste, or readying something before to enable it.
I would have liked space for Tactical Withdrawal or Tense Negotiations, but other stuff was more important.
CBG is really good because Mobile innit?
Squadron redeployment is more under-rated than your face. It's a good face, you should be proud of it. Live Long and Conquest.

I like how you added almost every tag available for this deck just for jokes (like hell is this a control deck), and the fact that both of the British top 16 players played "fun" decks. I think I convinced you to take 2 Backlashes in the end and go up to 51, but I can't remember for sure.
