Astra Militarum Orks
Aggro Tournament Quality
Dominate command and unleash the swarm.
Warlord
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
Go heavy on early Command and then try and win before your opponent recovers.
Staging Grounds can create some serious Warlord threats. Don't get overly hung up on Coteaz himself, though by all means sacrifice a bunch of stuff in a game-winning move. Pre-emptive Barrage is great for the combo win.
Main weakness is having no answer for problem units i.e. AoE 2 Ranged or Warlord-killing Beatsticks such as buffed Librarians or Rifled Stingwings. Ideally you can simply out-muscle them in early command/combat and pre-empt the problem.
I've considered putting Inquisitorial Fortress back in, along with Enginseer Augurs, who would also help to reach the Staging Grounds that help mitigate some of its weakness, however not sure what I'd drop.
I'm also experimenting with the Emperor's Warrant in place of To Arms (which originally held that slot). This gives me a control option, albeit needing to remove the enemy warlord first. To Arms has nice flexibility though and with Ammo Depot out can even just be used as a deck thinner. Finally, unsure if I need to put the Catachan Outpost I removed back in.
Feedback welcome.

Average Shields Per Event/Attachment: 0
Total Command: 0
Average Command Per Unit: 0
Having done more testing, the Emperor's Warrant definitely seems to be the missing component that allows for that extra element of control. Hasn't lost yet, but I've also yet to face Tau, who I think it could be vulnerable to (has done really well against SM much to my surprise though).
I tried out a slightly modified version of this decklist at the Regionals in Arizona. Given that I didn't have a whole lot of time to lean the deck as well as I should have, it performed surprisingly well. I went 3/2 and made it into the top 8, losing in the first round to a Ku'Gath that steam rolled me earlier in round 3.
Though it wasn't exactly a good learning experience for using the deck, as I was paired against Ku'Gath a whopping 4 of the 6 rounds I played. I also lost to a fairly standard Kith deck, but soundly beat out Starbane to make it into top 8 at 6th place.
The only change I made to the deck was taking out the Leman Russ and one Ammo Depot to put in two Squig Bombin'. As the local meta is very heavy on Dark Eldar and felt I needed answers to their staple supports.
I modified this deck with -1 Leman Russ and +1 Caius Wroth, +2 Squig Bombin' and took it to the Florida regionals. Went 4-1 in swiss and made top 4. The staging grounds and ammo depot are crucial to messing with people's math in combat. Either way it performed well and it was fun to play!

Glad you had a decent run l with it. Let me know how it goes for you, if you continue to use it in future - always useful to hear feedback
Did you remove anything to make room for the Squig Bombin'?
