Even if my deck on BCL Spring has evoluted from game to game, switching from Tau to Astra and so on, a large part of it was the same. I went to top8 finishing best Mavros on 187 players.
In this regional, i went undefeated, beating OOE, Worr, Nazdreg, Cato in swiss then Kugath & Cato in top.
I have finally chosen Tau alliance for both Technician and Vashya and taking the No Mercy of my Astra build. My final deck does not include Dreadnought to be less dependant of Terror or Sicarius Fury. Instead of it I have taken a Mavros to get more ambush to put pressure on ennemy. 2 opposing warlords finished Bloody Turn 1.
I have no Primal Howl to add some Iron Halo for better ECT. To get a better chance on Drop Pod I ve taken 1 Trader and 1 Pirate off to add 2 Neophyte Apprentice.
This deck and Mavros in general can handle a lot of situations and can put a lot of pressure on opponent with ambush and NoMercy / Crushing Blow combo.

Congratulations, Elmios, I really enjoyed your videos too! What is your opinion on the Standard Bearer? With the dmg boost, I think it would be the best with Mavros among the marine warlords. Except for the ECTs what are your arguments for allying with Tau?

I have tested it for a few games and it was really good. But too much ambush leads to less stability in the starting hand. And for a tourney stability is the key ! I would maybe better add it in Cato than Mavros, because Cato can produce ressources and indomitable, drop pod,... use them ! Not so easy to keep 3 ressources in combat phase.
So why Tau alliance ? I love the Vashya/Librarian combo. Add to it a drop pod or recruit and you can easily secure a planet (without terror) The second key point is the ECT. Getting an attachement help stability. Turn 1 ECT with promotion is very nice. I usually add some Tense Nego too but for this tournament i did prefere adding No Mercy to handle Elites. With all the spike damage of Mavros it is really worth it. I did bloody opponent warlord Turn1 on 2/6 games (OOE and Kugath), for 2 others it was very close (Cato, Worr). That's so strong !
@Szatom Standard Bearer has been rocking my Mavros deck so bad it hurts! My iteration is the ambushiest craziness there can be and I've gone 18-2 so far on OCTGN. Definately like Mavros a lot!
Standard Bearer costs 3. In Mavros you need BAV, so do you dropped Librarians for the Standard Bearer? Sorry to deflect thread, but this topic is interesting.
I like the deck. I'm sure Standard Bearer is a great addition to the deck, but Trailblazer and ECT are such great economy cards! Hard to choose allies for sure!
If you look at all the deck I have played in BCL on my youtube channel (got the decklist on left side of screen), you will see i have a lot of variation in it. So it really make sense depending on what you think of the meta.
But ambush and sniping is great in current meta cause Elite can't be target with suppressive fire anymore (too much risk of Backlash), so best option is to focus and one shot them.
I enjoy your videos. I like to study your aggressive play style. You seem to go after planet one a lot to put pressure on your opponent.
Quite true about pressure on P1. I play aggressive, but in fact that's something i learned with Orks which has been my main faction till begining.
The benefit of playing aggressivly is that you control the game. The opponent must use his best card to win key planets and then you can prepare winning on the planet you desire most.
No mercy, Crushing Blow and Vow of Honnor are very good to handle elites. They can't backlash any of them. Worst one are those who make AOE but they hit once then die.
This tools are great both for warlord pressure and elite hunt.
Bloodying warlords like Kugath T1 is always nice
Tried your deck and can only approve it. Works good against elites. I normally Play 3 calculated strikes, however this seems not to be necessary in this build. No mercy is Gold!

Thx ! There is so much fire power that if there is not an elite swarm, they have no chance to resist ! Calculated strike can help to avoid this swarm by killing STC.
Nice list, what are you ideally looking to pick up with the Earth Caste Technician - is it trying to Promote itself in order to guarantee command wins or set up something else?
ECT like to get a promote if no in hand. Else black sword if vs swarm, iron halo vs elite,... Just depend on the moment and opponent.
About last packs in France we are still to 1st pack on cycle so I haven't tried so much with new packs. Jumpack is a nice addition instead of iron halo depend on meta call.

Almost identical to my build, except I didn't use no mercy. Never really found I wanted it, although I could see it being good vs elites.
