Zoggy Goff Nob

I like Big Shoota Battlewagon more for this combo because you get Snotlings when it dies then FB/Tellyporta it back and do it all over again. Sure the Snotlings die even if they survive, but in these kind of climactic battles they don't tend to live, not to mention it can actually be great for powering up Launch da Snots. The other thing about the Battlewagon is due to half the benefit being in death, the war paint becomes less necessary.

One approach you could try is full on low/high, where you run three Nobs and three Battlewagons to maximise your chance of getting that Elite, then also run 3 Fall Backs, and then all the rest of your army units are the cheapest ones possible to make the cost curve work. It means some pain in letting some of the best ork units be cut from the deck, but its an extreme approach to make build work, and can actually be pretty damn effective.

In such a build I'd also recommend a full three Tellyporta Pads, and, I have to say, Nazdreg is way nastier in that build, as you can get the Elite to Planet 1, let them take a hit, then move Nazdreg in and hit back with a huge smackdown.

Plus, Cybork Goff Nob. Thats going to make a bad day for anything except a Klaivex Warleader.

Damn that Klaivex Warleader!

Anyway, as I prefer Show to Tell, here's what I mean:

The low/high concept works better out of some factions than others, but thanks to Blue Paint, its now viable for orks too. Give it a try!

Great comments. Thanks. Here is why I like Zogwort for this deck. One, I play Zogwort and know him better. Two, he can fight by himself if he needs to. With the high-low build in the early game that will probably be necessary. Three, he and his squad generate free units in a deck that will be gasping for resources.

@GKZ - I like the Battlewagon. Finding that one extra resource worried me, though, in such a weak command deck.

Good point on being able to fight on his own, that likely is something important. I guess the Brutal synergy means less when you have decent starting attack values anyway.

I'd certainly have a look at your cost curve though, and see if you can get that "1" column higher than the "2". I think you'll probably find that will smooth out your deploy phases a lot.

On turn 1 better to get two 1-for-1s and a Goff Nob down then it is to get a 2-coster and a Goff Nob down, even if that 2-coster is Enraged Ork or Snakebite Thug. The last thing you want is one of those opening turns where command goes 4-1 in your opponent's favour. 3-2 or even 2-0 you can deal with, any higher and you can pretty much guarantee they'll have an answer for your big unit when you don't want them to..

I've been working on a version of this deck inspired by the Chaos low unit-count deck.  Basically, giving up on command, using your resources mostly to destroy a higher resource cost of opponent's units with things like Warpstorm and Sowing Chaos (also Doombolt, since Tzeentch Firestorm isn't available, and Dakka Dakka Dakka, which I'm still not sure whether it's superior to Cacophonic Choir in this deck), and only using big units backed up by Fall Back and Tellyporta.

I started out with Zogwort, but it really seems more feasible in Nazdreg because Bigga is Betta, plus Flash Gits are better than Runtherds, and Brutal and Cybork Body are good with big units.

Edit: To be clear, I'm not convinced it will work, but I wouldn't have thought the Chaos version could work either.

Good point on the signature squad.
