I took this deck undefeated in Swiss for 6 rounds, including beating the UK national champ, but was knocked out on the first round of the curse. Tournament report will come below the strategy.
The theory for this deck relies upon cheap units that can both effectively fight (in large numbers) as well as spread out for command if needs be. Against elite decks, using combat tricks to quickly remove the major threats as well as sometimes merely outnumbering them, is the preferred tactic, and against decks such as Eldorath and kith, who run a lot of squishy units and get a lot of cards, smasha gun battery is good for forcing out shields and killing their squishy units, while using the sheer fighting power of Zogwort (often underestimated) and the draw from ammo depot to secure fights. Midrange decks can cause large issues, but can actually sometimes be out commanded, allowing you to dump huge swarms of units on them.
Zogwort hiself is a huge part of this deck. His bullying power is unrivalled, and pretty much no warlord can go toe to toe with him. If in doubt, go to first, since snotlings add up fast, especially with hovel out. I reccommend giving a bit of though to snotling maths - you'd be suprside how big a unit one of two snotling attacks can take down.
Tournament Report:
Round 1: Eldorath
This opponent struggled to get many units out, and those he did quickly fell to Smasha. No mercy on a shielded Eldorath for bloodying secured the victory as at that point he was unable to effectively contest any planets.
Round 2: Subject Omega
This was a very tough match, with him consistently having the resources to chuck out whatever he wanted. We both managed to bloody each other, as well as me sniping his synapse unit with a sneaky battle cry. The final battle was won for me after a misplay on his part - if he'd played the ymgarl factor in deploy, he had enough resources to kill off my warlord for good. However, he forgot he no longer had ambush, dude to being bloodied, so decided to keep it in hand, earning him the loss, so a bit of luck there for me. This game was a lesson on the value of comnat tricks - Battle cry + outflank 'em is a painful combo.
Round 3: Coteaz Smasha
This deck was surprisingly potent against me, despite the fact that my deck is meant to be being hit by a smahs gu battery anyway (Possibly because I had two smasha's of my own clogging up my hand). However, a turn 1 warlord bloody let me quickly take offensive cotnrol, without his primary source of A: Smasha soak and B: spike damage, and ultimately despite large quantities of guardsman tokens I still manged to take sufficient planets to win the game (Or maybe I finished off his warlord - either way a battle cry - outflank 'em / no mercy combo turn 1 got me this victory)
Round 4: Kith
Another tricky game, since Smasha gun battery wasn't getting much damage out due to my opponent playing out most of his cards, and also playing almost his entire signature set - a LOT of khymera tokens going wherever he wanted. A slight misplay on a final big battle (he didn't realise snotlings didn't protect rickety warbuggy) meant I edged out on a winning planet. Zogwort bullying definitely won me this, since snotling tokens may be small, but are big enough to kill khymeras.
Round 5: Ku'gath (the eventual champion)
The Current reigning world champion opened this game with a few misplays, mostly due to Zogwort unfamiliarity.
his turn one deploy was a possessed on planet 1 and then a pass - no match for 2 snotling attacks. He also didn't realise zogwort could take Ku'gath in a fight. Due to calling his turn one commit (since he underestimated zoggy) meant Turn one was a resounding success, and smasha gun battery kept him on the back foot for damage. The final planet for victory required me to weather both a warpstorm and a fetid haze I still got the victory.
Round 6: Another Eldorath
This game was a bit chilled, since we were both secured the cut. However this played similarly t game 1, except a stronger showing from the Eldorath player, but nonetheless my anti Eldorath strategies held strong, forcing him to either not draw cards, or take hits, and with less card being drawn, my ammo depot and more card efficient deck won out
Finally I lot the cut to Mavros, who got 3 blues as the starting three, and fire drake terminator did a lot of works since a lot of my units die before hitting him. Space marines are definitely one of the biggest threats to my deck since their unit efficiency can trump mine and their combat trick are really good.
Overall I'm happy with this deck, and not really certain on what I would do, if anything, to improve it.

Do you see Brutal Cunning working in this deck?
While I can see that it would work, I'm not sure what I would replace, and I'm tempted to say it's more of a card for more midrange/elites decks.
Interesting deck, well done!
At first sight I'd say it's lacking some 'oomph' factor, but Battle Cry and Snotling Attack surely do a hell of a job in those battles you *must* win.
How have you found the Smasha? In my experience it's very powerful against opponents who aren't used to playing against it, but it becomes rather ineffective otherwise (considering it's a 3 cost support of course).
I'd say itsn't always good, hence it being a 2x, but since it's fairly easy for you to find units to tank it (capping units have a spare health, runt heredrs and enraged ork WANT damage) even 4-5 damage pings on the enemy start to add up over time.
Nice job on the finish
