hi,

a little question:

how we can add a new set of pods in octgn like "legends of the force" or in SWLCGcardsdb ?

in France fans have created a complete cycle and it would have been interesting to be able to add it to the software

is there a tutorial somewhere?

That’s a blast from the past!
Felt like for a year the only talk on this forum was of Spain and bathrooms.

It can be done, but you need to have access to the Octgn plug-in.  I can't remember the user who was last maintaining it.  Was it BolivarShagnasty or some user name like that?  If you can get the most current iteration of the plug-in, then it's just a matter of modifying/adding a new Set.XML file for the cards you want to add into Octgn.  It's wouldn't be that hard to do, just time consuming.

I'm pretty sure the Colby/Tyler Legends of the Force cycle was added to OCTGN awhile back.  It was there the last I looked.

Yep, it's out on GitHub.  BolivarShagnasty was the one who added Legends of the Force cards (unscripted) to the Octgn plugin 2 years ago.  If anyone is interested in adding to Octgn plugin, I'd suggest you either Fork off of his repository or get in touch with him first just to check with him to make sure that repo is up-to-date.  It can be found here:  https://github.com/B...-Wars-LCG-OCTGN

I'm currently making a Set.xml file for the Frozen in Carbonite Cycle of cards so I can easily import them into my offline deckbuilder.   I'll see about adding them into Octgn as well -- no automation, just the cards.  Does anyone know if BolivarShagnasty is still mainting his GitHub fork of this plugin?

Ha!  I'm not laughing at you....I'm just laughing at what you're asking to get yourself into. :)

It's pretty tedious actually.  I'm going to assume you have Octgn installed on your PC.  Go into your Octgn directory and navigate to the Star Wars game database folder and then into the Sets folder.  On my PC it is located here:  C:\Users\crazy\Documents\Octgn\Data\GameDatabase\d5cf89e5-1984-4873-8ae0-f06eea411bb3\Sets

Now once you're in there go to the 3f4df791-7e9f-4542-8d12-fa87a5a61fef folder...this is the Core Set.  In that folder you'll see a Set.xml file.  This is the an xml file that defines every card in the core set.  This is your template for creating your own sets for Octgn.

Now for the Frozen In Carbonite set I'm currently working on I am just going card by card and creating the Set.xml file for that set.  I did go out and procured a GUID for my folder that will house the set (you can use any free GUID creator on the Web).  That GUID is my folder name for my set.  Within that folder I've created a Set.xml file and am starting to fill it in one card at a time.  Once I'm done with that file I can then import it into my deckbuilder and then add the card images.  Once that is done, I'll repackage my installer with the latest cycle and put it out on my Google drive for consumption.

To get the cycle into Octgn, I have to do a bit more research as I don't remember off the top of my head.  I don't know if it's just a matter of adding in the new Set folder or if there is a bit more involved (shouldn't be too complicated at any rate, and I'll probably create an image pack for Octgn as well).

At any rate, I appreciate the offer for help, but I'm already up to 22 sets completed out of 30-something for the cycle.....humming along.  BUT, if you ever have a cycle you want added to my offline deckbuilder of your own all you have to do is create that Set.xml file and import it via the button I've created.  I did a tiny video trying to explain it....but I can probably answer any questions you may have.  I'm around here in the forums from time to time or you could always just email me.

Frozen In Carbonite has been added to my offline deckbuilder.  I've also created the image pack for Octgn for the fan-made cycle.  And I have the change to the Octgn plug-in ready to go, if I can only find out where to put it!  If anyone can help me out with that, I'd appreciate it.

links to both can be found over in the offline deckbuilder thread ( http://www.cardgamed...-builder/page-3 ).

Manalorian cycle is up next.

The Mandalorian cycle has been added to the Octgn plug-in.  Go here ( http://www.cardgamed...ars-lcg-plugin/ ) to get the link to download it for play.

I'm also looking for votes for fan expansions to be added to Octgn for the next plugin update, if the community would like it.  Please respond in the linked thread.

Thanks for doing this.  I still play on OCTGN occasionally so it's much appreciated.
