Category: Call of Cthulhu Decks
Deck Name: Dreamer Deck
Deck Strategy: This is a thematic deck that I have grown fond of. It focuses on dreamers and the Dreamlands. It's definitely not a competitive deck, but a strong casual deck, with some nice synergies. It is an Agency deck with a splash of Hastur to support it. See my comment for further explanation of card interactions.

Moon-Beast Captain (SotD) + Moon-Beast Galley (SotD): If both of them are in your starting hand, you can bring this 4 skill character in turn 1. Very nice start if you have it.

The Moon-Beast Galley readies all dreamers at the beginning of the story phases, increasing the value of the dreamer characters.

Beneath the Burning Sun (SoA) adds 1 combat icon to all Agency characters, and it can be used cumulatively. Furthermore, it is Day, which enables the Action of The Captain (IMoD), giving you lots of additional icons+skill on a story where he isn't even committed.

Lightning Gun (SoA) makes use of the additional combat icons, as well as Prize Pistol (IMoD), which is a good way of specifically eliminating a character of the opponent (as long as it doesn't have invulnerability or toughness). Demon Lover (Core) helps in reducing the skill of the targeted character. Even if Prize Pistol is not in play, Demon Lover provides a terror icon and 2 skill for a cost of only 2.

Dream Dagger (ItDoN) is another card which is good on Dreamers and gives them a lot of icons, especially the needed terror icon.

Guardian Pillar (SftSK) and The Cavern of Flame (ItDoN) are strong cards, and both increase the chance for the cost reduction of the Moon-Beast Captain.

Polar Mirage (AtMoM) is the only event, and can take control of 1 character the opponent left ready in his story phase because he planned to defend with it... Probably the deck could profit from some other events, like Small Price to Pay (Core).

The rest of the cards just fit in nicely and sometimes have a special ability (e.g. Norman Blackwood, Jr. (SoA) being powered up by Beneath the Burning Sun; or Nathaniel Elton (ItDoN) being capable of exhausting Ancient Ones)
