Slow play control deck, has a conspiracy and Wilbur to answer most Hastur weaknesses.
Worst case is cause a lockdown old school Frozen Orb style and use Master of Amulets, Asylum, and Arcane phases to get ahead of them. Can use Hamu to chain combo recur things like The Greatest Fear for emergencies. Worst case in a close game, hold onto your supports/events and still the win by using it on yourself

Nice. How does it go in playtesting?

My only concern is your lack of 1 cost cards (I haven't actually checked the cards but I'm only really seeing 'The Greatest Fear'), and the fact you only have 6 x 2 cost Characters. A lot of rush decks have 12 - 20 x 1 cost and the ability to pump out 3 Characters in the first turn and another 2 or 3 in the 2nd (depending on draw), where you might be lucky to get 1 or 2. It's not my style of play though so you may have answers for this.

Interested to hear what the lockdown you are talking about is as well.

Keep it up!!

Only gotten to test it a little bit, and sadly every match up was versus Terror Icon creatures (making it much more difficult) but it's won most of them (granted long slow bloody games)

I'm aware any Hastur player seeing this going to ask why I'm not running more "Take control of" style cards, and sadly the reason is, I don't own them heh. Naturally once I get those it should help immensely. Until then, I'm stuck with what I have.

It's certainly not a fast deck, but by no means slow. Almost every vital in the deck costs 2, so you can run 2/2/3 for a while and be fine, and able to drop whatever yeah need. The few 1 cost chars I had for these 2 colors didn't seem to help the deck much, so basically it left me with "Do I want performance artist or not" and shes still on the sideboard as it were.

As for rush decks, they won't have willpower usually, so I'll be able to to stabilize shortly after the Blitz, and can Stygian Eye anything truly scary.
Normally I won't want to be competing for Stories anyways due to Hastur's lack of "Good chars" which is the reason for so many different conspiracies. Each of them grant an advantage to me most decks cannot handle, so knowing which one to grab versus what match up is a big game changer. Again the deck has plenty of issues, and a few "meh" cards due to my lack of some good ones, but I am working on ways around Hastur's biggest weaknesses to try and see him have more of a role except for "support splash".
Anything you lose during the game, can easily be recurred with Hamu, including itself, so you can graveyard fetch 1 card you need a turn, giving you lots of mid game options (and dragging the game out to your advantage longer it goes, its a real slow mean deck in its match ups so far)

As for the Lockdown combo, it's an old Magic deck revolving around Winter Orb I think the name was. Basically it made nothing refresh except 1 thing per turn. The idea was to be running cards and characters that could untap resources and characters for you, so they'd get next to nothing out of their actions, and you'd have a few more. Drags the game to a crawl but they usually can't recover.

Hastur has decent Arcane. With Unending Festivities, Victoria's Loft, and stealing anything you can't make insane, it very much limits their movements and commits per turn. Even if you'll lose units winning the arcane phase, you'll be able to untap and ready with Asylum and the opponent can't, plus recur dead characters with Hamu. Long as you don't get decked, and can keep them from winning the last story, you should be able to slowly and painfully eek out a win and praise Lord Hastur heh.

In Jan, I should have a large order of new cards coming in, will update then with some more character stealing and better cost characters

Yeah nice, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with when you have a good card pool to draw from.

Just one teenie weenie thing which may bum you out a bit (as I know it did me because one of my decks was having a lot of fun with it), that being, because of timing issues (ie cards targeted by an effect being validated before it is carried out), means that sadly Hamu cannot fetch itself from the discard, but once you get 2 of these then of course the loop is possible.

Ah yes, I'm aware of that, just worded it poorly. I was referring to having 1 Hamu in discard, then using the recursion
