Sweet. I've just been working on a Ritual of Power deck myself as it's a card you never see used, and yet it has such brilliant artwork. Like it a lot, but just wondering if there might be room for Frozen Time or Political Demonstration (triggered with MoM) to get rid of Snow Graves.

And btw, how does it go against rush decks?? (snigger snigger).
Yes! I was going to post a long explanation when I posted this deck but once again deck delay thwarted me.

Basically this is a work in progress deck that started with me putting in basically only spells and sorcerers that interacted with spells. Once I realized that it was tons of fun to play and not terrible I started fine-tuning it a little bit and got it at least semi-competitive. Negotium always comes out first turn and this deck can take terrific advantage of it, with a lot of three cost + investigation as well as story control (mists of lethe, which I might want 3 of, and dreams of lethe among others) and a well placed Peaslee to insure a strong start. Once this deck gets going it's basically a never ending cycle of the same (frequently free) combat tricks and an absurd amount of recursion. When you have Pushed into the Beyond, two magical theorists, a Wilbur Whateley and Carl Stanford things get reeeeally fun.

You're probably right that Frozen Time would be a very strong addition to the deck, but in my very limited meta I haven't needed it yet (no one plays Snow Graves, ha!). Most supports I come up against (Stygian Eye, Khopesh, Plague Stone) can be pretty easily dealt with through recursion and Pushed into the Beyond.

I haven't had any problem against my version of ST-Agency, and this deck usually beats my Hastur-Miskatonic in which every card is either a character or draws you cards or both deck, although the match usually gets really convoluted through way too many alternate historians and maurice diggs. I haven't really mastered Cthulhu-Miskatonic so I don't know about that.

Yes. It's funny where Sorcerers can take you. I think a lot of us have a Sorcerers / Spells deck tucked away and my deck 'Magic (the gathering)' started out as solely a ST / Yog Sorcerers deck with Yog and co and looked rather similar, and look where it ended up !! Haha. Using this deck showed me just how good Carl Stanford and Pushed into the Beyond can be together.

I do think you may need some Support removal eventually, because if someone lays down a Frozen Time on your Negotium it may give you some concerns, and Snow Graves is a fairly popular card, especially in Europe it seems, and you have 16 cards (including Studying the Void) relying on the discard pile to fully appreciate them that can be undone with a 0 Cost card. But, in saying that, if no-one in your meta uses it then recur away!! (until someone gets sick of getting beaten and starts using it - haha).

I know how you feel about the convolution that occurs when a ST / Yog arcane denial strategy meets an Alternative Historian. In some cases it becomes a mexican stand-off until one or the other is removed.

Loving the look, and using a great combination of Factions. Most important of all though, as you said, it looks lots of fun to play.

I suppose the only way to see how it goes outside of your meta is get online !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Btw, It would be great to see you (and everyone else) online. You'll find that all the decks we play are just for fun and in the semi-competitive field and I think yours could do really well. We only crack out the big guns in sanctioned tests to see just how 'good' our decks are, and this is rare.

Come on in, the water's fine !!
Wouldn't Magical Theorist need tome cards to fully function?
I mean he's not going to be putting success tokens on any rituals, but I just took out Rite of the Silver Gate for Frozen Time. His main purpose is to a) be three cost and be able to run at stories and B) make it so I can pushed into the beyond expensive characters for cheap/free once a turn. Usually either he or Master of the Myths (who I'm reluctant to take out but who hasn't really done anything) is the one ST resource this deck needs.
This deck finds the cards it needs very quickly, so there'll almost never be a Magical Theorist without accompanying Carl and/or Wilbur
