Too bad Baratheon doesn't have a good character agenda, because i'd really like to make a deck with this guy and Blackcrown Knights (AToTT)

Why was this card NOT Mace Tyrell? (Just a fluff complaint)

I think it would have been worse as Mace Tyrell.

Take away the military icon, the war crest, the Captain trait. Maybe add an Intrigue icon.

Yes, but add House Tyrell trait and noble crest. Maybe also remove melee.

New art too... Seriously though, I think Sligui meant that this exact card or at least this exact ability would fit Mace. And I have to agree, because few hours before his comment was made, I was tinkering with a deck using cardgamedb deckbuilder and I typed "Mace" in the search box only to realise, there is no Mace Tyrell yet in LCG and that I was in fact thinking about Randyll.
I hope, that LCG's first Mace is comming soon and that he will be awesome. Although I would rather not see House of Thorns version reprinted...

But the thing is that this exact ability would not fit Mace Tyrell. Vigilant isn't something you would say of Papa Tyrell.

Actually it does fit Mace very well in my opinion. I mean, if you would forget about how the mechanic is called and only focus on what it does. The impression, that Mace Tyrell made on me in the books can be pretty much summed up by what Kevan Lannister said about him in epilogue of A Dance of Dragons:

The more I give him, the more he wants.

Exactly.... I could have been more clear.... but I was curious as to why they didn't add Mace Tyrell to the mix of cards when they were going out of their way to create a card that buffs the Tyrell trait (Especially when there is already a Randyll Tarly). Of course you would need different icons, crests (noble would be great!), and different traits as well.

The house affiliation of lanni and bara is great though xD. Like theCrow said, maybe they are saving Mace for something really special in a later set.... or maybe they really have it out for the guy (honestly not my favourite character either... but I love melee format and a Mace Tyrell in the mix during a game seems quite thematic to me ^^)
