If I have venomous Manticore attached to a character I kill (with something such as Incinerate (VM)), now the character becomes moribund, at any point am I able to trigger the move to another eligible character and still retain the death of the previous character?

Sadly no, because there is no player action window in-between the character becoming moribund and the character leaving play. Each action a player triggers (in this instance, incinerate) must resolve fully before another action (the any phase action on the Venomous Manticore) can be triggered. By that time, the manticore would already have been discarded. Only responses can be played while an action is being resolved.

Still trying to figure out the usage of this card, Just seem's like a cheaper option than Poisoned Wine (Core) but a lesser burn effect. I certainly wouldn't run it as a character.
