Still I thing some of characters are just loved by FFG cards creators. It's 4th version of Davos in the game. Beacuse of the Song of the Sea theme I think he was neccessary but still it would be nice if some forgotten characters appeared.
Why should you include "The Iron Throne" when it renders the ability of Davos useless? Furthermore I wouldn't call winning dominance with Davos+Smuggler an engine without cards that feed from dominance. The question now is if you can mash up Smugglers with Asshai, which could be difficult in the future. Otherwise this Davos is only mediocre with the current cardpool+spoiled cards considering how good other 4 cost characters in Baratheon are.
You kind of misinterpereted what i meant/said, but perhaps i was unclear. The "search engine" i speak of is smugglers with summer sea corsair along with much and more. Nothing to do with dominance. I dont really see how that was unclear but whatevs. I also said that the iron throne was an option to help guarantee dominance as a back up in case younlost davos for whatever reason, if you including other cards that require a dominance win.
