Targ got card which gives melee keyword here is one for all houses to get joust one. Gold cost ok taking into account that it is can trip, and we don't loose our option by playing it. Can be used for armies to ensure that single character can win a challange or for some very good characters with renown keyword to be sure thay will not be stopped. So far is difficult to say more as this is new keyword with limited support from event or location site for now.

Most Army cards have No Attachments in the text...

Not really, they usually have no attachments except weapon.

But it is also an item. I thought it may not be attched to Defenders of the North (AKitN) p.e.

I do believe that kennit has the right of it. since there is an additional trait (item), characters such as
Defenders of the North (AKitN) are not able to equip them.

That is incorrect. When something says no attachments but weapons, all that is looking for is the weapon trait. Sure its an item, but its also a weapon. Think of it like this, if an attachment says attach to a stark character only, you can still attach it to Brienne of Tarth (PotS) because she's a stark character. Sure she's also a Baratheon character, but the attachment is only looking for one thing and that is the House Stark Affiliation, which she has. It doesn't matter what else she has, because its only looking for that one specific thing.

Unfortunately I share your argumentation Staton.
But it doesnt make any sense
- to equip an army with a tourney lance - ok, thats a point of view considering the "imagination" of playing this game
- to give chars with STR >7 the joust keyword - and this is a point of view considering the game design.

Yeah, there are lots of things that don't make sense. Drogon at the Lannisport Brothel, Carrion Bird with a Tourney Lance, etc. Sometimes game mechanics just don't make sense in real life scenarios.

Drogon couldn't get into the brother becasue he was knelt by a brothel guard and didn't want to pay 1 gold to stand and give his opponent a power.................
