As a general rule, I don't like Valar. This is a very appealing alternative. (Some decks aren't as non-unique heavy but still not bad.)
Especially in mid to late game when you got your income engine going strong so the gold from plot does not matter as much but where the lack of claim can be a game clincher.

Definitely interesting, having claim and all. Although I am very concerned about the 0 gold... I don't see it not being much of a problem in the end game.. I mean, you have 1 character, your opponent have 1.. but he's able to play out more new characters, probably making you lose all your challenges. It's nice for GJ though who can save from discard effectively.

This is an excellent plot for a lannister unique only deck, it would be a one sided mass kill effect in a deck that has other income options.

How likely is it people will run this & Valar? Or would you just consider this your reset plot?
I don't think this + Valar would be a very good combination, maybe for/against a very specific deck. Theoretically Valar hits every character in play, but unique characters are more likely to be saved, so usually it wipes out non-uniques and sometimes some of the uniques. Therefore I would rather combine one of those plots with a plot that can help me deal with uniques that managed to survive. Also 2/0/0 + 0/3/1 are not the best stats... even if you could sum them up :P

edit: On the other hand my meta is rather unique-heavy so my perspective may be flawed. There are decks that could deal with the downside like GJ nobles, Joff (LotR) Lannis (they have better alternative in Relentless Persecution (DB) though) or shadow+winter Starks with Maege Mormont (AHM), but unless your opponents are running loads of uniques you will be better off with Valar and something with solid stats.
I think this + Relentless Persecution (DB) might be cool.
Use relentless first, then the turn after flip this! Two turns without efective use of your non uniques.
I'm kind of drawing a blank on how this fits in to the stories (even though I've read the series twice, except for Dance which I only read once when it first came out). Would someone be so kind as to PM me with the 4-1-1 on this?
