So this is a terrible plot, right? I was thinking that if you run a bit of plot manipulation, this one becomes key.
Lay this one first and grab initiative. Switch into something else before marshalling....shores of ny sar, perhaps. (use Bran or Citadel Law). Then, you can use Under the Bridge of Dream to trigger it again...that's 3 cards discarded. Just as good as the TFTE trick, except with Shores of Ny Sar you also draw twice. A Rookery can do the trick here.
Is that good enough to give up the other plots? Probably not, but I don't think they are garbage any more.
They're not garbage, but I feel like you have to dedicate too many resources to making them useful. Plots should help your deck be good, not the other way around. lol
These plots have very powerful effects especially if you can find a way to cycle through them. The problem is they have lousy gold income and so no one wants to play them. If they had higher incomes I'm certain many people would play them. The time will come when these plots are just the ****....at least I hope so. I think they're pretty cool personally.
I really want them to be good. Maybe in the rest of the cycle we will get one more plot manipulation card and one more river (at least) with four or more gold.

A boy can dream .......
Considering we have 7 after only two plot decks, hopefully we get even more in the rest of the cycle, and get enough variety to make viable River plot deck combos.
