He's one of a few characters in a game which gives us big advantage when comes in play. 4for3 tricons renown looks solid what if we add cannot be killed and cannot be discarded from play? Amazing isn't it?
He is probably the best character in a game currently as to deal with him we can opnly return him to owner hand (martell) or blank his text (Fortified Position (LoW), Nightmares (LoW) or
Milk of the Poppy (Core)) As you see there are not many option to stop him out of martell house. He's main character in Brotherhood deck and very often used as splash in other builds based on infamy. Of course to be so immune there must be no power on house card. Without this requirement he would be staple in any deck. Very often used with
Devious Intentions (BoRF) to get Infamy and STR boost. Very good with
Lady Stoneheart (MotM) to get rid of power on house card to keep him immune.
Meera Reed = FTW!

Plotting a strategy against this character.  Any issues with these ideas?  Text-blank via Nightmares or Milk of the Poppy to wipe immunity; win Intrigue challenge by 4 or more STR; play Terminal Schemes to kill him (assuming no dupes or other saves).  Alternatively, Coldhands to remove him from the game (since his immunity doesn't extend to "remove from game" effects).  Paper Shield and/or attachment discard presumably would block the first idea.

All viable options.  You can also nightmares before you flip the Valar plot.   Ghaston Grey also works or other "return to hand" effects.

Nightmares before Valar - I see exactly where this fits in the advanced timings.  It made me think about my initial idea to do with Nightmares-Intrigue challenge-Terminal Schemes.  This is how I see it fitting in best.

1. Initiate Intrigue challenge, with high enough STR to make a win by 4 likely.

2. During third player action window (i.e. just after my opponent has declared defenders), play Nightmares on Beric.

3. During next framework action window (i.e. when challenge resolves), play Terminal Schemes as a response to winning the Intrigue challenge by 4 or more STR.

Playing Nightmares during the previous player action window would allow an opponent to see the combo coming, and so (if possible) commit enough defending STR to prevent the win by 4.  Naval attackers and/or defenders could complicate matters, though.

That's correct Lothar and is often the way Beric is handled.  Ygritte is another great answer if you are seeing a lot of neutral characters (such as Jamie)
