My favourite card, renown feeds his ability and he can be really hard to stop when he gets going, guaranteeing some unopposed challenges. Great to use with Storm's End (KotStorm) and Obey the King (KotStorm) to put him out ahead of your opponent's characters with power.

love this card in an asshai deck, with fantaic makes getting those unopposed challenges a tad bit easier, also works well with The Fox's Teeth (TWot5K)
May my opponent use Catelyn Stark (LoW)'s ability to put her into play as defender while this guy is atacking & he has at least 1 power?
Yes, Cat's ability skips the declaration of defenders stage - same way you can put her in as a defender even if the opponent has Stealth.

What if a character is immune to character abilities? does that mean they can be declared as defenders even if they dont have the correct number of power? Or does his ability target the player?

Character that is immune to character abilities can be declared as a defender regardless of power tokens on Eldon Estermont.
