I haven't played Tully in a long time but I'm kind of liking this card.

It's a powerful card.Normally if the opponent is not a Stark he/she will have a hard time to win a mil challenge against you . The only problem with this card is the Prized 2. Imagine that you have in play 2 of them and the opponent Valar's you----> he will take 4 power.

Prized 2 is too much. I'd rather they have prized 1, and a bit less STR. Prized 2 is too much of a risk with something so fragile, and with kill so readily available.

Aside from claim what kill is readily available that works on armies with that much strength that can't take attachments? Burn is possible but not easy, that leaves only a limited number of events really.

I'd say the bigger risk is the anti synergy with cards like The Bastard's Elite, as their downside (swap sides if you lose Military) was negated by using them for claim. Cards like Lucas Blackwood and Kyle Condon are a little less useful with this guy out too.

Not enough of a disadvantage to not take it though!

Stealth Blackwood Elite and bye bye.

It's a 3 cost Army with No attachments (burn/Mel's Favor protection), Str 6, Deadly and Renown.  In a house that probably isn't losing Mil challenges unless you're doing something wrong anyway so the downside is mostly irrelevant.  There's enough cancel available to protect from kill events so it's only really Valar you have to worry about, same as with any other character.  And it's House Tully with all the synergy that brings.  I'd say Prized 2 is a bargain!

Edit:  Hell, you could blank it with Meera/Nightmares before the challenge resolves to negate both it's downsides completely.  Still a bargain!

I mostly play melee; when there's three other players, even Stark loses the odd military challenge. When there's a bonus 2 (or even 4) power dangling in front of you, you're toast unless you've *really* got the murder machine humming along.

And maybe I'm doing it wrong, but my Stark decks rarely have enough cancel to deal reliably with Lannister or Martell shenanigans.

Martell don't tend to kill or discard with their stuff though, so the prized isn't a problem there. For that matter, viable Lanni kill is pretty much restricted to I'm You Writ Small and A Lannister Pays His Debts.

Red Vengeance could be a problem against Martell though.

Don't forget you can always blank with Meera if you foresee a definite need to kill a different character for a round - or if you just wish to get rid of the Prized 2.

Dear Experienced-Players, could you explane me basic rules:
- what is "Prized 1"/ "Prized 2"?
- what is melee?

Dear Experienced-Players, could you explane me basic rules:
- what is "Prized 1"/ "Prized 2"?

Prized X
When a card with the prized keyword is killed or discarded from
play, when a prized event card is played, and when a prized plot
card is moved to its owner’s used plot pile, each of that player’s
opponents claims X power for his or her House, where X is the
value following the prized keyword on the card. This power is
claimed as a passive effect.

- what is melee?

Melee
While a character with the melee keyword is participating in a
challenge, it gets +1 STR for each participating character controlled
by an opponent.
