Per the flavor text, I'm calling this one Dead Bob.

Is Prized likely to be contained to this cycle only, or will it continue in the next?

I'm sure we'll see it again. Naval is continuing to trickle out.

Baratheon is going for a prized-rush theme? I don't see how this card could be good out of that (and I really don't think that's viable either)

This card has an immense target on its head, prized 2, it isn't a noble, competes with keyword Stannis (VM) for the King spot, and doesn't reliably get you more power than fat Bob (Core) if you don't have more prized characters (which leaves you very vulnerable to targeted removal or resets).

I'm disappointed that Targaryen got a much superior king, in spite of Baratheon being the one struggling right now.

Maybe I was too lucky with my games so far but imo, not only is the prized-rush theme viable, but this Robert is an absolute beast. His Rush potential is extremely high even with a few prized cards and he never needs to stand for him to win you the game. I'm going to get a lot of hate for that but I acctually put him to be somewhat equal to Aerys in power (somewhat because he lacks the noble crest and he has prized 2 instead of 1).

I wonder, how does your prized-rush deal with Valar Morghulis?

I play Kings of Summer for the added draw, together with Samwell Tarly. My restricted is negotiations and normally I force a Valar with only Mel and other renown characters so I use Robert for a finisher after I take Valar in the face like a proper gentleman (It wins turn 3-4 most times). Cancels are a must for other resets.

I personally play him in a deck running the "a Noble Cause" agenda with the new prized Knight of the North (having renown now thanks to the agenda) and Maester Lomys on first turn with At The Gates (again with Renown thanks to the agenda). Ive got a really good success with the deck until now, I kill turn 2 or 3 most of the time and if I have initiative, I am not scared of Knell effect on Maester Lomys to avoid protecting my other characters...

I thought he could be a nice card in conquest deck only to discover they only gain the prized keyword leaving play :(
