At this point, arguably the worst title... I guess we have to wait for the spoiled sky cells next cycle for it to find use.
Possible anti-Valar?
Where it does well is if the opponent revealed Forgotten Plans when you have Mel's Schemes out. There isn't really a worse plot for them to reveal, and a reset isn't usually going to help them given you can then put out your discard pile. Aftermath and maybe first snow are about the only plots I'd worry about in those circumstances.
And if First Snow is revealed, it might be an excuse to pull a bunch of cheap characters out of the discard pile anyway because they'll be put into your hand. Not necessarily ideal, but not necessarily a horrible consequence with Mel's Schemes.
