Your out-of-House character and attachment cards with that affiliation gain "prized 1" while leaving play.
Thus if you want the bonus, you need to use prized characters, which so far in those two houses gives you... Seasoned Smuggler! (and Tycho Nestoris if you go neutral too). Hardly a power buff!
Still, Bara Knight with Joust that is 2 cost 2 icon non unique has its role... just not in the deck you're describing
I can't see this card working in many other decks tbh. In a rush deck, you don't want just 1 card making the challenges because you have guys with renown who need quick power. In Black Sails there are too many naval guys who need to go into the deck before considering him. And without the buff from prized I don't think the card is worth taking.
