I get the feeling that this card looks unimpressive on paper, but is going to be the key part of some clever kneel-heavy murder-heavy Lannister variant.

For general utility, it looks as if his ability will normally hurt Lannisers more than anyone else, with their swarm of weenie characters and their poorer military presence.

The right deck though... :)

Definitely a card to appeal to the Shaggas.

I just realized that this does not have the restriction like Hugor Hill, Arstan or Cat of the Canals! I won't mention his counterpart for fear of spoilers, but said counterpart could be useful in turning this guy on!
Maybe "undead" characters like this guy and Lady Stoneheart don't get restrictions based on their living alter-egos. In truth though, they kind of become totally new characters, just using the shell of their old selves. It's poetic, but yeah it still doesn't 100% make sense
Or maybe the game designers figure it'd be presumptious to identify him 100% when its not yet confirmed yet.
Man, I want to like this card, but he's so...weird. Definitely pushes a deck towards emphasizing Military defence, which isn't a Lannister strong suit.

How do you use this guy effectively?!?!

Clansmen, maybe? That and Nobles are the only things that spring to mind out of Lanni to keep folk out of the dead pile. Clansmen do well on military challenges, especially on defense.
is this effect continuous? like if a character dies can in come back right away?

It is a passive ability, but it doesn't bring characters back from the dead. The wording is a little awkward, but the effect actually tries to kneel a character as it comes into play. Whether they get knelt or not depends on their printed cost and the current number of characters in their controller's dead pile.
oh well then he sucks for my city of shadows deck that i thought he was gonna me great in lol

Remember that all shadow cards are considered to have their cost for being played to shadows added to their printed cost for the sake of checks.
really? do you have a link that says this if its not to much trouble

really? do you have a link that says this if its not to much trouble

It is the last paragraph of the Playing a card into shadows section of the FAQ or Shadows rule ammendum. Sorry Don't know how to link a PDF.
Thus Robert's cost in 3 gold ect.
thank you :)

Hi guys!

How does this guy work with ambush? Do they come into play kneeled? If it works the way I think it works, than it shots down this keyword completly :)

Yes, he affects ambushed characters too.
