The text is wrong. It should be a Targaryen character for the 2nd part.
Hows does the 'Immune to plot effects' if you control a Targaryen Character work with Valar? If I have a Targ Character in play at the time of Valar, this guy will be immune because they would be killed at the same time?
He would be immune to Valar. At the moment Valar's When revealed effect was initiated, Targ character you control was in play.
Aww, no decks currently use this card. Could it possibly be combined with Dragon Chaser in an influence heavy deck? The chaser can be ambushed in and satisfies both faction requirements on the escort. Maybe too much work to be worth it
Almost assuredly too much to be worth it since Dragon Chaser is House GJ/Targ only. That means you'll be playing this guy OOH. Hard to use the 4-gold slot in a GJ or Targ deck for a 2-STR MIL/INT character, even if the Deadly and Immunity are active.
Look, Dragon Chaser is house GJ/Targ only... it didn't say in the database text but you're right. I was looking for OOH ambush for a martell deck but there seems to be none.
Yeah, the "House only" gets missed in databases every so often, and it certainly screws up searches! I just happened to know to look on Dragon Chaser because putting the "House only" limitation on cards that could otherwise bypass the OOH gold penalty seems to be a convention FFG sticks to pretty closely. I can't think of a single Ambush or Shadows card with a House affiliation that isn't also "House only."
