What happens if my forever burning is in my dead pile and the dominance effect gets canceled? does it go to the discard pile or it stays in the dead pile?

Yes, the core rulebook states that event cards with the deathbound keyword only go to the dead pile if successfully played. So if it gets cancelled then it goes to the discard pile, bummer. Luckily, I've never had mine cancelled lol.
