This card seriously makes use of Corpse Lake and destroys opponents that usually go for 60 limit decks. Not to mention it's basically stalwart :)
Unfortunately it makes 0 use of Corpse Lake, because Corpse Lake only works with triggered effects, and this bad boy's effect is a passive.
If my opponent has Eddard Stark (core) and I have Drowned Disciple. What will happen if i do a Valar? Would Eddard get discarded or does this trigger before it get to the deck?
Interesting one. The "then" here does throw you off a bit, but i *think* that as cards don't actually leave play until the end of the action window, any effects triggered by the plots, such as responses to cards leaving play, would happen first. The discard from the top of deck would happen as a result of the Disciple going moribund:bottom of deck.

Then, when the dust settles, Ed Stark would go to the top of his deck, and the Disciple would move to the bottom of his. Is that right, oh keepers of the timing rules?
thanks
That's right. Moribund cards stay on the field until the end of the window.

A "cannot be saved" kill would prevent his discard from taking effect because of the "then" linking the "if he would be killed" to the discard, correct?
He still is being killed; his ability isn't "saving" him in game terms. It is simply changing his destination from "Moribund: Dead Pile" to "Moribund: Bottom of Your Deck". Any effects that trigger off a character being killed can then be triggered.
