Pretty nice against TargBurn I guess ;) It's a pity that "each" character not "each character you control" though...
It's also quite kickass with a Tully-Blackfish deck, or anything else that features a lot of "does not kneel to attack/defend"
I'm using them in my Lannister army deck, so between not kneeling my armies thanks to Ser Addam Marbrand (LotR) and the general kneel effects that Lannister have, it works out pretty well.
I´m running them (not unique!) in a Bara HoD Deck with The Wall (TWoW) which was working great :)
Here is an older melee build.
Works great with Red Viper (PotS) and Cersei Lannister (LotR).
If Killer of the Wounded or other card knee to attack or defend, does it stand Killer of the Wounded?

???  i assumed this only gives +3 to my characters...not opponents characters too.

@Phill: No. A card's STR is only considered to be "reduced" or "lowered" when you apply a "-X STR"modifier. Losing a "+X STR" modifier does not let you use an "After a character's STR is lowered..." response. This is detailed in the FAQ.

@lancebrook: The text is "Each character gets +3 STR while it is standing." Doesn't say anything about "you," "your," or "that you control." So long as it is a character, and it is standing, it gets +3, no matter who controls it.

Compare it's text to Winterfell Castle, for example.

interesting.... seems like a wash then... would have to think of why to use... maybe for cards that require winning a battle with 4 or more STR

You load up in "doesn't kneel to attack or defend" and/or standing effects that can be used during challenges. Your opponent probably doesn't. You get the STR bonus when it counts, he doesn't.

This card is key in Stark "higher STR than printed cost" decks for the reasons ktom just mentioned.

Ranger of Winter is a beast in winter with this in play.

And Frozen Outposts become very tasty indeed.

My first ever Stark deck was Armies + This + Training Ground.
