Having gotten the card, the art is actually not THAT bad.
Shame the card is....
Well, the effect itself is rather powerful IMO. The "non-Army character with higher STR than printed cost" bit makes it really hard to trigger (+ Winter restriction on top of that), so he won't see much play for now, but I believe, that Starks need one more universal, repeatable STR pump (similar to Mors Umber (TBG)) to make this new archetype viable. And then Bran will shine.

Seafarers Bow has been the most efficient card to buff your opponents cards from my experience.

I agree its a powerful ability but it requires to much set up to be useful.
The one problem with Seafarer's Bow (except that it is 2 cost attachment) is that it bumps STR of a participating character, which is fine with Northland Keep (TBG) but makes it less useful in case of Breaching the Wall (TBG) and almost useless for Bran. Same goes to Heart of the Kingdom (TRS). Something like in-house Salla's Escort Ship (KotStorm) would be cool.
Winter House Tully?

I have to agree with this.

Also note that you can always use it to throw your own characters in. Stark have plenty of characters with higher strength than cost. Whilst you are kneeling an extra character in effect and not gaining an enemy character, you gain a few benefits still.

Firstly, you can do this after defenders are declared, making it a pseudo naval icon for all of your cards. This allows you to win challenges by 4, add deadly to a challenge, or simply ensure you win.

Secondly, you can throw in characters that don't have the right icons, or aren't even allowed to attack. House Tully Septon in a MIL challenge? Hodor into an INT challenge? No problem at all.

Two cards: King's Pavillion (KotStorm) and Breaching the Wall (TBG). Surely Bran will fit into this deck type. A guy in the hungarian meta is terrosising us with this Mini-valar deck
He has a pretty large number of possible targets. Specially when you consider all the cards that passively give strength boosts (Lannister's Tunnels, new Balon, GotC Dany, etc)
I think the card is good but as others have mentioned it has to be Winter and you have to have him out (of course).

This can bring Hodor (Core) into an attacking challenge, correct?

Hodor...smash!
According to Hodor... Hodor.

As I said in a post above, yes. Even an intrigue challenge.
I know Direwolves aren't really considered a viable archetype, but I'm having fun with this Bran in my wolfpack. Most of my wolves qualify, especially if I have a Maester of Last Hearth (HtS) out, which I usually do. Old Nan (BoRF) can also remove pesky army traits from many tasty targets.
Presumably, if defending, you can also use whatever character you take control of to die for Deadly as well...
Okay, I always get confused about which cards that mention kneeling another card "require" it. So can this card use its ability with a character already kneeling? Since you can use Frozen Outpost on a character already standing and the language is similar, I'm hoping the same is true here, with kneeling.

Edit: Just reread the wording on Frozen Outpost and I'm thinking not in this case. This one specifically calls for a standing card and the other does not call for a kneeling card.

If it is Winter, Bran Stark gains, "Challenges: During a challenge, kneel Bran Stark to choose and kneel a standing, non-participating, non-Army character with higher STR than printed cost. That character is now participating in the current challenge on your side."

I'll break it down for you. In order to trigger the ability all of these conditions must be met.

1) It must be Winter
2) You must activate this ability during a challenge (any challenge type is viable)
3) Bran stark must be standing
4) The target character must be standing
5) The target character must not be participating in the current challenge
6) The target character cannot have the Army trait.
7) The traget character's current STR must be higher than it's printed cost

Note that the target character can be controlled by any player, so it can be another of your characters you did not declare as an attacker/defender or it can be controlled by any of your opponents even if they are not the involved in the challenged.
