The big difference is the end of phase part. But I assume sooner then later that will be errate most effects like this aren't permanent.
Well, yes, obviously, but still, I don't think any GJ player would want to splash Slaver's Bay, when they have access to Nagga's Hill, which is in-House and doesn't have that many restrictions. Unless we are talking about GJ / Targ Summer Alliance deck or something similar
And I don't believe we will see such errata, Slaver's Bay is fine. It is a strong card, arguably better than Nagga's Hill, but both share same problem - you are relying on your opponent having some useful non-uniques in his discard pile.
