Let me get this straight: the person who played the event card chooses both cards to be put back into play? If so, i think it's a pretty good card.

If there isn't a unique character in your opponents discard pile, can you still put your unique character back into play?
Andras (very late reply): Yes, the player playing the event chooses.

FW: No, you must have all required targets available to play the card.

Thanks Laxen. Would like to make this card work but doesn't seem that effective outside of synergy with
The Hound (Core) and maybe a clansman deck. If only
Arya Stark (tHoBaW) could trigger unique non-stark characters!
This card is excellent in 2v2 play.
I think this card is underrated a little bit. You could discard a monster unique character in some way and pull them out for 1 influence. You just need to be tricky with the opponent's discarded unique characters.
There are multiple problems with this card:

1. The card costs 1 influence. Most Lanni decks could care less about influence,
2. You and your opponent both need to have a unique in your discard pile.
3. The same problem as summoning season. If they did not want that character in play why did they even include them in the deck?
There is something to be said for cards being overall good but conditionally useless based on the current game. However, this card is definitely highly conditional. I can't see it being reliable enough in joust to ever be worth including in a deck, though maybe for Melee it might come in handy and definitely in 2v2.

you can play one of the unique armies out of this for 1 influence
Or use it as weird balerion the black tech.
Yeah but it doesn't allow Balerion to trigger his response, since it is being put in to play as opposed to playing him. 10 str renown isn't bad, but there are better things with actual come in to play abilities or just better abilities once in play.
