Yummy...
yeah, strong thing
Would this cancel constant effects such as 'while this character is in play...' or 'while this character is standing..." or does it refer to specific triggered effects?

those are passive abilities, not triggering abilities

Generally, a character ability is anything that starts with bolded text such as Challenges: or Any Phase: or Response:. All of these are character abilities that this would prevent. Also, if it was on a character that granted influence, they could not be knelt to use the influence to pay for any effect. Nor would they be able to "pay for effects" to fullfill cards such as Lethal Counterattack (Core). This is because kneeling 2 stark characters is considered the cost of this event.
underrated attachment
Ye, if you have a good card economy going it can be really useful, preventing enemy effects while having no gold cost. But it is still a card that cost a draw and doesn't actually remove a card (and it's even useless at some times) - so if you need your draws badly, I would not recommend it.
KEy words are included here, yes? And what about abilities character gained from another card or itself but have to be triggered as on the character?

@Jiriki no, keywords arent include coz keywords & character abilities are different things. But gained characted abilities are affected by this card.

Could this be used on a character with a duplicate attached to it to keep them from discarding the duplicate to save the character? Since "Using a duplicate to save a character

is considered to be a gained triggered "Response:" action. Thus, it is treated as a
triggered effect.."

That's right.  Bowl of Brown stops the character it's attached to from triggering any (Bold) abilities it has.  It does not stop abilities on attachments from being triggered and it does not stop any passive text from being used.

I thought so but I was't quite sure!  That makes this card pretty useful, at least against the people I play with.   Thanks!
