So I went ahead and put 2 copies of this into a new Stark
Knight/defense deck. Deck did well in joust against two different builds but of course I am still tinkering with it. Anyway, I did not even draw this card during either game, but already I have doubts about it - just seems probably too expensive, even for power grab in a defense-focused deck. Maybe I should just stick with a less expensive Storm Dancer or something else entirely... The fact that it's not showing up in any deck lists here makes me think that most others feel it is just not worth the price. My deck seems fine on resources so I'd probably be able to afford it. Will have to wait I guess to see how it actually works for me when I actually draw into it, but was wondering if anyone has any thoughts/experience with this card.

It's expensive and only triggers on the defense. That's two major strikes against it, it's not completely horrible in melee but is a non starter in joust.
I would think the opposite - better in joust, since your opponent has no other options to attack a different player if he/she thinks you can win; or your joust opponent decides not to do a particular challenge against you. Seems a win-win scenario for joust (but still don't know if it's worth the cost).

in melee you get the benefit of the lord commander title which means you can redirect at least 1 military challenge a round to yourself, couple this with a siege deck and you get 4 power for a successful military defense

in joust its just way to expensive imo
Just think of all the other stuff you can get for 4 gold. This card does nothing to help you immediately and it is fairly easily avoided by your opponent. Unless you've got some tricks to win the challenge when your opponent doesn't expect it then they will simply just not challenge you when they see they can't win and instead try to take dominance. The high cost also means you're likely giving up tempo, so unless you were already ahead of them in general strength you're giving them a majority of your turn's production to catch up. It basically boils down to if you are doing well enough to be able to play this card then you likely were already dominating the board position so the proper choice at that point is play cards which fortify and strengthen that position, unfortunately this card doesn't do that.
Thanks all for your comments. Yeah I think I'll be swapping this out...
I've been running this as my House of Dreams location. It's good and makes the House of Dreams downside basically null because I'm getting more gold value from my set up than I would without the agenda. It seems my deck needs to be built for defense though. It's been changing the way I play but I see this getting better and better the more defensive I play.
Well since my post months ago I have actually kept this in my Stark defense decks and it has worked out. Combined with Luwin, Mage, Meera, Guardian Wolf, Paper shields, and Routing the Charges, and other defense tricks I've been pretty happy with the way it has worked out. I considered using it with House of Dreams, too, but for the time being I am sticking with no agenda and Mage.
