Also, would lowering the influence cost of a card be covered by this card? Would you be able to pay for a 2 cost card with Ambush by kneeling this card, paying the cost in influence? I assume the answer is yes (but only during the marshalling phase.
However, ambushing cards isn't considered playing them (you just put them into play) - therefore this card can't be knelt to make it cost less to play.
