Autoinclude in maester deck. One of the best chains for maester agenda. Traet manipulation can easily kill or discard character from play giving him famous "Ally" for example. Additionall is needed for combo with discarding Raven card from play to get rid of opponent season strategy. Can be used with
Horn of Dragons (ASoSilence) to take control of Dragon character.

Does that "in play" include used plot cards?
Would this trait be in effect during the challenge the character knelt for if I was to choose them?
Yes it would. and Plot cards are not in play.
Can this be attached to Maester Aemon (Core) to save any character by giving them the "Night's Watch" trait?

Nope. You have to have a target to use his ability and you have to use his ability for this to trigger.

Additionally, the save response occurs before you can even activate the link's response.

Currently trying to build a deck with maesters, Dragons and Daenerys (QoD). Use the Copper Link (+ Dragon Lore (CbtC)) to give as many characters the Dragon trait and attack with all Dragons, thankfully non-kneeling with Daenerys, Meereenese Fighting Pit (ARotD) or Astapor out in play.

Interesting, let me know how the build goes. Would you not be worried about actually ending up with too much non-kneeling coverage? i.e. if you already have dragons characters out and make them non kneeling, then they won't kneel to trigger the chain ability. You might end up with a redundant cycle of characters that don't kneel, but can't kneel to trigger their abilities.

It might be worth putting in some sort of "Response: kneel...." events so that you have a way to trigger this chain.

Well, maester characters with the copper link have to kneel for the first challenge in order to receive the Dragon trait and all the other benefits from chain attachments. Afterall, the Response effects from chain attachments can only be triggered once per Phase anyways.

I can then use Astapor or Meereenese Fighting pit to stand the maester. At this Point with Dany out all Dragon characters wouldn't kneel to attack and give me extra Advantage for the Response of Rhaelgal, Viserion and Drogon i.e. kill characters, accumulate power and discard Locations.

Dont know whether Blood of the Dragon (Core) is an alternative to copper link since it's so expensive...

Currently I'm having the usual Problems with finance and Dragons getting killed by effects or valar before I manage to get all the dups out...

Alternatively I guess u cud also have great fun with a Targaryen maester deck by using the steel link to stand fighting pit and astapor

I think my worry would be the Copper Link is 'after this character kneels', not 'kneel this character to...'. If your aim is to make things dragon trait and then they aren't kneeling to attack then you need some other ability that kneels the Copper Link-equipped Maester, then triggering the Copper Link. Some of the other chains are kneel to activate for instance.

Although I see your point about just throwing that Maester into the first challenge. Even if you lose it you can still fire off the combo and not kneel for all future challenges.
