What's the difference between having a trait and being considered to have one? Or is it just for flavor?

Basically, it means that while she's in play, she's a Knight. While she's in hand, discard or dead pile, she isn't. So effects that target Knights only affect her while she's in play.
Being "considered" to have the trait also means that no matter what other "gains" or "loses" the Knight trait effects might be played on her, she still counts as having the trait.

Mhm, thanks. That means quite a difference, then.

Let's imagine I kneel her to pay for muster. Can I also trigger her effect?

Yes.  It would be better if only people wouldn't pay the power cost.  Great as a first turn play though.  The rest of the game I'd rather have the dual-house Brienne.
