Did i misunderstand anything or is this just a free unopposed challenge (almost) every turn?

Combined with Support of Harlaw (KotS) Euron would get 3 unopposed challenges every turn by himself

There are ways to get defenders into a challenge without declaring them. And there are really tricky ways to make it so that he is not attacking alone, or to kill him while he is attacking and before the challenge resolves, but yes - he can be a complete beast, especially with Support of Harlaw for an opponent who isn't prepared.

Why he doesn´t have renown??? His a king for god sake!

That would be too much. Him with Rise of the Kraken would probably be game over if the opponent doesn't have immediate answer! This way you need to utilize Greyjoy bonuses from unopposed and win by 4 or more.

Attach Captain of The Iron Fleet to him and you'll give him renown. :)

There are a lot of characters with the King trait that don't have the Renown keyword. Being a king does not necessarily give you renown. Or even infamy.
